MET's JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH Begins 1/30

Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) family theatre, The Fun Company proudly presents the Roald Dahl's classic James and the Giant Peach. The story of an orphan and his incredible adventure is pure fun for the whole family will run at MET for five weeks beginning January 30.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL Returns to Frederick for 22nd Year

Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol" is returning to Frederick for the twenty-second straight year with Maryland Ensemble Theatre's production at the Weinberg Center for the Arts. The cast of over two dozen actors portraying the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, Future and Tiny Tim will transport audiences to Victorian England as the penny-pinching Ebenezer Scrooge learns the error of his miserly ways and embraces the true spirit of Christmas.

MET to Stage New Adaptation of FRANKENSTEIN

 Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is thrilled to present a world premiere original production based on Mary Shelley's immortal classic Frankenstein. The ensemble-devised piece will be helmed by MET Associate Artistic Director, Julie Herber. The play will run at MET for four weeks beginning October 23.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) is proud to present the beloved childhood story, Dr. Seuss's the Cat in the Hat. Adapted by Katie Mitchell, and directed by Fun Company Artistic Director, Julie Herber, the play, which is best suited for ages three and up, will run at MET for five weeks beginning September 26.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre has announced its 2015-2016 Mainstage season. MET's 18th Mainstage season will run from September of 2015 through June of 2016 and will feature a cheeky English comedy, an original twist on a horror classic, a traditional holiday musical, and contemporary crowd pleasers.

Mythological mayhem is returning to Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) this May when the award winning fun-filled family musical for all ages, 'The Young Olympians and the Most Amazingly Awesome Adventure Ever', takes to the stage for one weekend only.  Olympians will play at MET, located at 31 W Patrick in downtown Frederick, this weekend, May 30 and 31 at 3:30pm.  

Maryland Ensemble Theatre's GOOD PEOPLE Begins Tonight

Maryland Ensemble Theatre (MET) presents the final play in its 17th Mainstage season, the award winning drama, 'Good People'. Written by David Lindsay-Abaire, and directed by MET Artistic Director Tad Janes, the play will run at MET for four weeks beginning tonight, May 29.

Maryland Ensemble Theatre's (MET) family theatre, The Fun Company, is proud to present a World Premiere adaptation of the classic tale of a young mermaid who longs to be human, "The Little Mermaid".  Featuring an original score by Callan Holderbaum, MET company member Laura Stark will direct an original adaptation by fellow company member Devin Gaither based on the fairy-tale by Hans Christian Anderson.  An entertaining show for the whole family, it will run at MET this April and May for nine performances over five weeks.
