Netflix brought back the Moondance Diner Food Truck for 1 day only this weekend in celebration of the release of tick, tick...BOOM! The event featured Alexandra Shipp (Cast), Robin de Jesús (Cast), Joshua Henry (Cast), Daphne Rubin-Vega, and special appearances from your favorite Broadway stars.  

In a new interview for GQ’s December issue, Andrew Garfield spoke on portraying Johnathan Larson, the creator of Rent, in the Lin-Manuel Miranda-helmed filmed adaption of tick, tick…BOOM!, becoming a public figure again, and how much has changed since his Spider Man days.

Lin-Manuel Miranda appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to discuss his new film adaption of tick, tick...BOOM! and the impact that Jonathan Larson's work has had on his life. He also touched on Encanto, Broadway's return, and more! Fallon also shared a clip of Tariq Trotter's cameo in tick, tick...BOOM!

Vanessa Hudgens appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night to discuss her role in the new tick, tick...BOOM! film adaption. During the interview, she discussed working with Lin Manuel Miranda and her love of Jonathan Larson. The interview also included a new clip of Andrew Garfield and Hudgens performing 'Therapy' in the film.

Written by Jonathan Larson, the theater composer and lyricist made infamous with RENT, the film adaptation of TICK, TICK… BOOM! is sure to garner a lot of attention. The stage version is a rollicking, urgent three-person chamber musical that flies by in a tight 90 minutes. The film is expanded to 115 minutes and suffers a bit under the weight of that bloat. The emotional peaks and valleys all work, but there are moments where the plot drags.

The new film adaptation of tick, tick...BOOM! had its world premiere at AFI Fest on November 10, and will have a limited release on November 12, before streaming on Netflix on November 19, 2021.
