CHRISTMAS IN HELL, a new musical comedy, will be have a staged reading on Friday, December 22nd at 7 pm as part of the Urban Stages Winter Rhythms Festival (259 West 30th St). The show won the 2017 Show-Score Best of Fest Award (Reading) at the New York Musical Festival.
Stars from School of Rock, The Lion King and Matilda among others, launched The Holiday Star Experience Album and a music video to promote their charity collection. According to Eduardo Jimenez Pons (Producer), The album is a joyful mix of pop, rock and jazz versions of Holiday Classics, Broadway and Pop songs, perfect to make the spirits bright on this Holiday Season . Leading the promotional efforts for the album and its cause is the music Video of Train's Shake Up Christmas which was shot in New York City and San Juan, PR.
Last night, The Trevor Project hosted its 2017 TrevorLIVE Los Angeles gala at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif., where it honored fashion designer, award-winning screenwriter, producer, and film director Tom Ford with the Hero Award, and Tony Award winning actress, singer and author Kristin Chenoweth with the Icon Award. The evening kicked off with special opening remarks from Lisa Kudrow and Kristin Davis, and featured performances by Grammy-nominated band Garbage, Broadway legend Shoshana Bean, and Neon Trees. Magical Music for Life Foundation is thrilled to present its 5th annual TUNES IN TIMES SQUARE benefit concert Sunday, May 1, 2016 on Broadway between 42nd & 43rd Streets in Times Square. The goal of the concert is to raise financial support to produce a new original album of songs for water safety applicable to children with and without specials needs, awareness of our music, and funds to perform our musical written especially for children with autism and other special needs. The event will be a continuous sing-a-thon, where talented children and groups from six states will come together to share the same stage with over 70 Broadway performers from most of the current shows and many past shows. On March 14th, 2016, CABARET FOR A CAUSE was held at The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Young performers from the Broadway community gathered to raise money for Story Shifters, a theatre residency for students with physical, medical and neurological impairments.
