In celebration of Pride month, Backstage Babble is releasing a series of episodes with LGBT artists that fulfill it's mission-painting a picture of what it has been like to be gay in the theater world from the 1950s up until the present day. It is hosted by 13-year old Charles Kirsch.

Barrington Stage Company has announced casting for the season’s outdoor productions Who Could Ask for Anything More? The Songs of George Gershwin and the world premiere play, Boca, and a line-up of Broadway stars who will perform in concert under a tent at BSC’s Production Center (34 Laurel Street).

The series, which will offer audiences 4 intimate performances, will honor Tony Award winning, Broadway legend, Ann Reinking and feature New York's biggest dance stars from American Ballet Theatre, Dance Theater of Harlem, New York City Ballet, Broadway and more.

Sara Mearns recently partnered with Seattle Dance Collective on the new dance film Gallop Apace. Starring Mearns, the film interprets Shakespeare's 'Gallop Apace' monologue from Romeo and Juliet through movement, navigating Juliet's emotional transformation from young girl to woman.

Barrington Stage Company will produce a 2021 season that will feature four productions staged indoors at the theatre’s Boyd-Quinson Stage (30 Union Street) and three productions which will be staged outdoors under a tent at BSC’s Production Center (34 Laurel Street).

Works & Process, the performing arts series at the Guggenheim, has announced the acceptance of a $500,000 grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, marking the most significant grant in the history of Works & Process.

Barrington Stage Company has announced the 2020 Associate Artists – lighting designer David Lander, director/choreographer Jeffrey Page and actress Alysha Umphress. The Associate Artists program’s honorees include choreographer Joshua Bergasse, director Joe Calarco, costume designer Jen Caprio, and more.

Forging a path for artists to safely gather, create and perform together again, this summer and fall over fifty artists entered eight Works & Process bubble residencies in rural Hudson Valley after an unprecedented period of isolation.
