The Country Music Association has announced the nominees for the 2023 CMA Touring Awards, which highlight vital behind-the-scenes members of the Country Music touring industry. This year's CMA Touring Awards will again be hosted by Country superstar Keith Urban and will take place Monday, Feb. 12 in Nashville, TN.

The Martin Read Foundation trustees has announced the awarded bursaries to four young composers from an impressive cohort of talented aspiring and emerging musicians. The awardees are William Dear, Felix Sladen-Jewell, Josh Clark, and Joe Jolliffe, and they have been commissioned to write short pieces on the theme of War, for solo cello.

SF Sketchfest announces the initial lineup for the 20th Anniversary comedy festival taking place January 7-23 in venues across San Francisco.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Alliance Theatre's annual holiday production, returns to the Coca-Cola Stage at Alliance Theatre November 12 – December 24, 2021. 

Alliance Theatre will present a new version of its holiday production, A Christmas Carol: The Live Radio Play, staged for the first time as an interactive Drive-In experience. 

Flint Repertory Theatre presents “ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO'S NEST” by Dale Wasserman, adapted from the book by Ken Kesey. Performances begin Friday, March 13 and runs through Sunday, March 22. Tickets are now on sale.

The story, music and delivery, takes one by surprise settling right into the middle of the heart and morphing raw emotion through the veins; simply 'taking over'. The daily norms of behaviour evaporated and I was 'in' the show. I was transported to a place of primal emotion that pushes past control to a place earthed in the rawness of connection and love. The very essence of human emotion, need and desire juxtaposed against 'how it should be' is brought to the fore in a beautiful simplicity. Jesse Peach's vision of simplicity and allowing the emotion to be 'enough' had to be cleverly crafted. Illumination of humanity within simplicity hard to acheive and he's done just that.

Asheville, NC-based Travers Brothership have announced a lengthy tour in support of their latest release, Let The World Decide. Starting April 5th, the Brothership takes flight into new, uncharted territory, storming the east coast and deep south with their homegrown brand of funky, improvisation-driven rock and roll. Fans can see Travers Brothership in a headlining role for roughly half of this tour while the rest of the dates will be in support of fan favorites like Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, Kyle Hollingsworth of String Cheese Incident, DJ Logic and Jeff Sipe, guitar hero Eric Gales, Southern Avenue, and JJ Grey & Mofro.

The 2018 Stage Raw Theater Awards celebrate excellence on the Los Angeles stages in venues of 99-seats or under. This fourth annual edition included productions that opened between January 1, 2017 and May 31, 2018. Stage Raw is a community funded professional journalism website that was created in response to the decline of arts coverage in local mainstream and alternative media.The Awards ceremony was held Monday night, August 20, at Los Angeles Theatre Center, 514 S. Spring Street in downtown Los Angeles, hosted by Coeurage Theatre Company, and co-directed by Jer Adrianne Lelliott, Thaddeus Shafer and Lauren Ludwig. Winners notated in red below.

At the same time, he's made five albums under his own name full of willfully uncategorizable compositions that combine jazz, funk, country and rock into a swirling, raucous blend that jumps, struts, croons and shouts. His sixth album as a leader, Falling Flowers, will be released September 14 onLoHi Records.
