On this day in 2013, Academy Award-winner Tom Hanks made his Broadway debut in Lucky Guy, written by Nora Ephron and directed by George C. Wolfe. 

Rehearsals are now under way for the highly anticipated West End engagement of The Inheritance, the new play by Matthew Lopez. Sonia Friedman, Tom Kirdahy and Hunter Arnold proudly present the Young Vic production for a strictly limited season in the West End, with previews at the Noel Coward Theatre from Friday 21st September and opening performances on Saturday 13th October.

Producers, Sonia Friedman and Nattering Way announce the West End transfer of the Young Vic production of The Inheritance by Matthew Lopez. Directed by multi Olivier Award winner Stephen Daldry, Lopez's major two-part world premiere will play a strictly limited season at the Noel Coward Theatre, beginning previews on 21st September with an official opening performance on Saturday 13th October.

The Artios is awarded to those CSA members who receive primary screen (or program) credit for casting on the winning project. Location Casting Directors, Casting Executives and Department Heads who are CSA members and who receive credit on winning projects also receive an Artios Award. CSA Associates on those projects are recognized in the press and with a certificate.

The Growing Studio is holding its 5th Annual Free Casting Director Seminar. The seminar is a 60-minute Q & A forum discussing casting, auditioning, and the current theatrical market. We're offering this seminar completely free of charge as a way to give back to our students and the theatrical community. Actors will have the opportunity to anonymously submit questions and receive answers from those behind the table.

The show was nominated for six 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Play, with Courtney B. Vance winning for Best Featured Actor in a Play, and Jules Fisher & Peggy Eisenhauer winning for Best Lighting Design of a Play. Directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. The production, the final work by three-time Academy Award-nominee Nora Ephron and directed by two-time Tony Award-winner George C. Wolfe, was extended by popular demand through Wednesday, July 3 when it ends its record-breaking limited engagement at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street).
