Memor NYC, Inc. will present a development reading of Shanghai Sonatas, a new musical with music by Sean (Xiang) Gao, lyrics by Joyce Hill Stoner and book by Alan Goodson. Chongren Fan will direct the by-invitation only development reading on Friday, October 28 at 3PM at Theater 555.

The international sensation National Theatre of London's Frankenstein starring Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange, Hamlet, BBC's Sherlock) and Jonny Lee Miller (Elementary, Trainspotting) is returning to the big screen of the Ridgefield Playhouse! Captured live in 2011, this imaginative retelling of Mary Shelley's classic novel was experienced by almost half a million people in cinemas around the world.

An imaginative retelling of Mary Shelley's classic novel will thrill and haunt viewers on Halloween night when The Ridgefield Playhouse screens National Theatre of London's Frankenstein on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 7pm, as part of the FirstLight Home Care Classical Series.

Just in time for the witching season, Hammer Theatre Center will present the renowned troupe Actors From The London Stage, performing Shakespeare’s chilling tale of power, envy, and ambition, Macbeth. Hammer Theatre Center will present on its mainstage the National Theatre Live screening of Frankenstein.

Village Theatre today announced that tickets are on sale now for the Village Originals Beta Production of Eastbound, a new bilingual musical about the unexpected meeting of two brothers from opposite sides of the world. Directed by Desdemona Chiang (Seattle Rep: The Winter’s Tale) and Music Directed by R.J. Tancioco (Village Theatre: Hairspray,  Newsies), this is a fully-produced developmental production with scenic design by Timothy Mackabee, costume design by Johanna Pan, and lighting design by Robert J. New York Theatre Barn will launch the 15th season of its award-winning New Works Series on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 7PM ET at Theaterlab (357 W 36th St, NYC). The Utah Shakespeare Festival will present a world premiere production of Gold Mountain, the original musical by Jason Ma, this coming November. Alan Muraoka is slated to direct, having been at the helm for multiple workshops, presentations, and concert versions of the piece since 2015.

It was the first show in front of a LIVE audience on the Vitello's stage after 16 dark months, so of course it sold out in advance.
