On Easter Monday night, 19th April 1897, the building first opened its doors as the Cork Palace of Varieties. On the opening night the Chairman, Mr John O'Connell said, it was “without question the prettiest, most commodious, and best equipped place of entertainment in Ireland.”

AEG Presents, in partnership with Entercom Radio Miami's 104.3 The Shark, New Found Glory and the City of Pompano Beach, is proud to announce that the sold-out #ParklandStrong, A Benefit for the Victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas School Shooting raised $116,411. The concert held on May 16, 2018 at The Pompano Beach Amp featured New Found Glory, Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional, William Ryan Key formerly of Yellowcard and speed painter Michael Israel. All proceeds from the event including ticket sales, concessions, merchandise and sponsorships have been donated to Broward Education Foundation's Stoneman Douglas Victims' Fund.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jeffrey Donovan (BURN NOTICE) is scheduled to star alongside Zac Efron in the upcoming Ted Bundy film EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL, AND VILE. Donovan joins Efron, along with John Malkovich (PLACES IN THE HEART) and Lily Collins (MIRROR MIRROR).
