New Feathers Productions has announced the complete cast for TOGETHER (AGAIN) premiering THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14th at the Zlock Performing Arts Center in Newtown, PA.  With direction by Mary Carpenter, the TOGETHER (AGAIN) cast will skillfully take audiences through five vastly distinct, short-play journeys.

It is said that “writers write.” And, during a global pandemic, they apparently write a lot. Possibly the most inspiring, intriguing and captivating work of their lives. At least that is what you might surmise if you were one of the three judges of the 2020 Phillips’ Mill Emerging Playwright Competition.

INTAR has announced the sad news that John McCormack, longtime Executive Director of INTAR, died on Monday May 18th in his Queens NY home from natural causes related to COVID-19. McCormack was 61.

McCarter will welcome a group of esteemed and emerging playwrights and theater artists to Princeton for the Sallie B. Goodman Artists' Retreat. The annual retreat in June is a centerpiece of McCarter's LAB, a platform and creative incubator devoted to ongoing theatrical development and artist cultivation. The 2019 Retreat will take place from June 12 - June 19.

New Feathers producers, Mandee K. Hammerstein, John Augustine and Greg T. Nanni, proudly announce the featured, full-length, new works reading; NAKED CALL by award-winning, playwright Ken Kaissar.  Naked Call will be professionally produced and presented for one night only and is the featured reading as the successful season concludes at the James A. During rehearsals at producer Mandee K. Hammerstein's home in Bucks County, fellow cast members (Clayton Prince & Joey Perillo) from the 1988 original film 'Hairspray', reunite for the first time in 30-years.  Prince ('Seaweed') and Perillo (Security Guard) exchange fond, movie-making memories, while talking future theatrical goals, all in anticipation of working together again on the New Feathers Production Stage this month.

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) continues its 58th season with Christopher Durang's comic mash-up of the plays of Anton Chekhov, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, directed by Diana Trotter in her CCCT debut.  Winner of the Tony, Drama Desk, and New York Drama Critics awards for Best Play, CCCT's production plays April 13 through May 6.
