The Princeton Festival Launches VIRTUALLY YOURS, a Free Online Festival

Yahoo Finance has reported that The Princeton Festival will launch 'Virtually Yours,' a free online festival of live and recorded performances of instrumental and vocal music, musical theater, opera, and poetry, and educational presentations. The online festival will be held from June 1 to June 28, with different events brought online every day.

Long Beach Opera Announces 2021 Season

While acknowledging that the landscape for future performing arts events is currently uncertain, Long Beach Opera is forging ahead with plans for its 2021 a?oeSeason of Solidaritya?? beginning in January. New World Symphony Fellows Launch VIA: Virtual Summer Music Academy

New World Symphony Fellows Corbin Castro and Christopher Robinson today announced the launch of VIA, a virtual summer music academy supported by the New World Symphony (NWS) as part of its NWS BLUE program of Fellow-led initiatives. VIA, which stands for Virtual Inclusion Artists, seeks to engage young musicians from communities underrepresented in classical music through Zoom-based individual lessons and group classes offered over the course of a week-long, summer music intensive. VIA sessions are tailored to string, woodwind, and brass instrumentalists (grades 7a?"12), and are led by NWS Fellows, alumni, and guest speakers, including performance specialist Noa Kageyama (BulletProofMusician.com).

Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra And Cincinnati Pops Launch THE FANFARE PROJECT

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Cincinnati Pops today announced a new initiative, The Fanfare Project, borne of the Orchestra's heritage as a champion of the music of its time and of the role of music to unite us in uncertain times. The inspiration for the initiative is Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man, commissioned by CSO Music Director Eugene Goossens in 1942 in support of Allied efforts and as a testament to the American spirit during World War II. The Orchestra gave the world premiere on March 12, 1943.

At Home With…, the series launched by the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, Classical KUSC (Los Angeles), and Classical KDFC (San Francisco), offers its latest installment – a split week featuring celebrated pianist Yuja Wang and Principal Conductor of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra Thomas Wilkins, broadcasting from their respective homes as they share their favorite music and reflections on the unifying spirit of music with KUSC host Brian Lauritzen.

Music Director Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, with Reference Recordings, are pleased to announce the release of a new recording in superb audiophile, pairing Tchaikovsky's iconic Symphony No. 4 with the world premiere of leading American composer Jonathan Leshnoff's Double Concerto for Clarinet and Bassoon, featuring the orchestra's own Michael Rusinek, Principal Clarinet, and Nancy Goeres, Principal Bassoon.

Breaking: Cast Gathers for 1776 Workshop; Confirmed for Spring 2021 Broadway Season

BroadwayWorld has just learned that the cast has been assembled for Diane Paulus' Broadway-Bound 1776, which just began a Zoom workshop. Exact production dates have not been announced, though the A.R.T. has confirmed that the musical will play as a part of its 2020/21 Season, and Roundabout will bring it to the American Airlines Theatre in Spring 2021.
