Bang on a Can Will Present ALL LIVE BANG ON A CAN MARATHON

Bang on a Can will present an ALL LIVE Bang on a Can Marathon on Sunday, May 3, 2020 from 3pm-9pm ET. The Marathon will be streamed online at marathon2020.bangonacan.org, featuring 26 LIVE performances from musicians' homes in NYC and around the country.

The Lehman Trilogy is officially in previews on Broadway! This strictly limited, 16-week engagement comes to Broadway on the heels of runs at London's National Theatre and New York's Park Avenue Armory, as well as an engagement in London's West End. GoGo Penguin Announces New Album

Today, UK instrumental trio GoGo Penguin announced a May 1st release date for their upcoming self-titled album, the band's sixth full-length and their third for Blue Note Records. The announcement comes with the first single “Atomised,” a firm favorite of the band's that has GGP gliding over a powerful UK garage beat with a propulsive groove that makes for another hands-in-the-air classic.

Colorado Music Festival Announces 2020 Summer Season

The Colorado Music Festival (CMF) in Boulder, Colorado, isn't broadly known outside the state, but it should be. This summer, under the leadership of the recently arrived Music Director Peter Oundjian, the Festival will actually present more 21st-century pieces (16, including two world premieres) than works by Beethoven (13). That reflects Oundjian's commitment to presenting the work of living composers as well as music by masters of the canon. This is the first year of the Festival's five-year commitment to commissioning new works and presenting them in Boulder.

Kent Nagano To Lead Orchestre Symphonique De Montréal In Final Carnegie Hall Show

On Tuesday, March 24 at 8:00 p.m. Kent Nagano leads the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal in his final Carnegie Hall performance as the orchestra's music director. The program includes Schumann's Piano Concerto with soloist Mikhail Pletnev and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 13, a?oeBabi Yar,a?? featuring bass Alexander Vinogradov and members of the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal Chorus, and the Chamber Singers, Oratorio Society, and Varsity Men's Glee Club of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under Chorus Master Andrew Megill. A pre-concert talk begins at 7:00 p.m. with Simon Morrison, Professor of Music, Princeton University.
