This week at Joe's Pub at The Public, September 16-22, features performances by ELVIRA KURT IN WORD*ROCK*&SWORD WOMEN OF COMEDY, MEN IN BLAZERS, JANN KLOSE / BARNABY BRIGHT, JOEY ARIAS, JUSTIN VIVIAN BOND, and STARSKY + COX.

Signaling the start of the social season, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will hold its annual Gala Concert tonight, September 7 at 8:30 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall. This year's Gala will be led by BSO Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly. The concert features the band Pink Martini with vocalist Storm Large, who will collaborate with the BSO for an intoxicating mix of cabaret, samba, jazz and Hollywood musicals. National Public Radio's news correspondent Ari Shapiro, a frequent guest vocalist with Pink Martini, will perform.

Michael Musto's 70s Disco Extravaganza, starring Michael Musto and featuring Elektrik Company, TISH & SNOOKY (Blondie, Sic F*cks, Manic Panic), SARAH DASH (from classic group Labelle-'Lady Marmalade'-and her own disco hit, 'Sinner Man'), ORFEH (Tony nominee, Legally Blonde) and the diva, Joey Arias ('Arias With a Twist'), returns to 54 Below tonight, May 4, 2013 at 11 p.m.

Tomorrow, Saturday, May 4, 54 Below runs the gamut from Mozart to Musto with two unique events: in the morning, "Classical Concerts for Classy Kids," and late night, "Michael Musto's 70's Disco Extravaganza."

Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond. 54 Below also launched its series of late night events.
