Bridget Everett's ROCK BOTTOM Closes Tonight at Joe's Pub

The Public Theater presents Bridget Everett's critically acclaimed ROCK BOTTOM at Joe's Pub. The show closes tonight, October 16, 2014. Created by Bridget Everett, Marc Shaiman, Scott Wittman, Adam 'Ad-Rock' Horovitz, and Matt Ray, and directed by Scott Wittman, this shockingly funny and moving new show began performances on September 9 and was originally slated to close on October 11. ROCK BOTTOM was originally commissioned as part of the Joe's Pub 2013 New York Voices series.

Basil Twist's THE RITE OF SPRING Premieres Tonight at Lincoln Center

The director/designer and master puppeteer Basil Twist, whose numerous works for the stage - including SYMPHONIE FANTASTIQUE, PETRUSHKA, DOGUGAESHI and ARIAS WITH A TWIST -- have consistently re-defined our understanding of traditional puppetry, will celebrate the New York debut of his biggest, most ambitious creation to date when Lincoln Center presents THE RITE OF SPRING during its fifth season of WHITE LIGHT FESTIVAL for five performances only tonight, October 15-18 at the Rose Theatre in Frederick Rose Hall, located in the Time-Warner Center (10 Columbus Circle) at Broadway and 60th Street.

CWTC stars downtown legend Joey Arias as Joan Crawford and Project Runway's Chris March as her darling daughter Christina. From today, June 25 to August 1, The Kitchen will present The Rehearsal, a group exhibition in which Courtesy the Artists, Discoteca Flaming Star and Georgia Sagri revisit an unreleased film by blacklisted, American film maker Jules Dassin. Filmed 40 years ago in the building that is now The Kitchen, Dassin's film, also tilted The Rehearsal, is a cinematic indictment of the Greek military junta (1967-74) and features Dassin, his wife, Greek actress Melina Mercouri, along with Laurence Olivier, Olympia Dukakis, Arthur Miller and Lillian Hellman, among others. For this exhibition, the artists will engage the themes, resonances and Brechtian structures of Dassin's work placing them in conversation with recent narratives of collective action for autonomy on the global stage.
