The Shakespeare Theatre Company will welcome to its stage puppeteer Basil Twist and his production of Petrushka, which will run at STC's Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW) from March 16-25, 2012. This limited engagement is part of STC's and its Artistic Director Michael Kahn's 25th Anniversary Season.

Laugh your way into 2012 at this year's New Year's Eve Benefit: From Woolly with Love. The evening will include a performance of The Second City's Spoiler Alert: Everybody Dies on Dec. 31st at 10pm followed by a reception featuring a fabulous photo booth, delicious desserts from Jose Andres Catering, an open bar featuring our vodka sponsor Blackwater Distillery- Sloop Betty Vodka, three raffle prizes, and a champagne toast at midnight led by the cast of the show!

On Monday, October 17, 2011, The New 42nd Street Gala, 'Puppet Palooza,' honored Cheryl Henson, President of The Jim Henson Foundation with the second annual New Victory Arts Award. The annual event, which celebrates The New Victory Education Program, began with a performance honoring Henson at The New Victory Theater, 209 West 42nd Street. Tony Award nominee John Tartaglia (Avenue Q) hosted the evening featuring Joey Arias in a performance directed by Basil Twist; from 'Sesame Street' Big Bird and Telly Monster; cast members from Cummins and Scoullar's The Little Prince; Heather Henson and IBEX Puppetry; Tony Award winner Bill Irwin; Ralph Lee's Mettawee River Theatre Company; dancer/choreographer David Neumann; On the Lam Street Band; and the Reduced Shakespeare Company.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company is proud to start its 32nd Season with the announcement of an important evolution of the theatre's Company, a group of core actors formed originally in 1986. In addition to actors, the Company will now include, for the first time, a number of playwrights, directors, and designers.
