Tickets For The Guthrie's ELLA Go On Sale 6/14; Runs 7/21-9/6

Tickets for the Guthrie's presentation of Ella, the exhilarating musical about the First Lady of Song, go on sale to the general public on Sunday, June 14 at 11 a.m. Tina Fabrique stars in the title role of this summer theatrical event, weaving myth, memory and music to tell the uplifting and poignant story of one of the greatest jazz and pop vocalists of the 20th century.

Black Box Theatre Presents THE CREATURE 10/23 - 11/7

Black Box Theatre presents a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience with the World Premiere of THE CREATURE by Trevor Allen. Rob Melrose directs this new play featuring James Carpenter* (The Creature), Gabriel Marin* (Victor Frankenstein), and Garth Petal (Captain Walton). The design team includes Cassandra Carpenter (costumes) and Cliff Caruthers, who has created an original soundscape for the production. Three Generation Of Guthrie Actors Reunite For WHEN WE ARE MARRIED 7/10-8/30

The Guthrie announced today that three generations of Guthrie actors will comprise the cast of its summer production of J.B. Priestley's rollicking comedy When We Are Married. Under the direction of Guthrie associate artistic director John Miller-Stephany (1776, Jane Eyre, The Constant Wife), the show will reunite many beloved Guthrie company members from the 1960s and 70s, including Barbara Bryne, Helen Carey, Patricia Conolly, Peter Michael Goetz and Linda Kelsey.

Guthrie Theater Presents Kevin Kling's NORTHERN LIGHTS/ SOUTHERN CROSS 10/22 - 11/8

The Guthrie will present Northern Lights/Southern Cross: Tales from the Other Side of the World, an international collaboration between Interact Theater and Australia's Tutti Ensemble, companies both comprised largely of artists with disabilities. An epic tale spanning cultures and hemispheres, acclaimed actor/playwright/storyteller Kevin Kling shares his story of personal growth and rebirth, in the production directed by Interact artistic director Jeanne Calvit, with original music by Tutti Ensemble's Pat Rix. Northern Lights/Southern Cross: Tales from the Other Side of the World will run October 22 - November 8 in the Dowling Studio.

Thorson, Armbruster & More Star Guthrie's THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST 9/12-11/8

The Guthrie today announced the complete cast and creative team for director Joe Dowling's upcoming production of Oscar Wilde's most perfect comedy The Importance of Being Earnest, with actress Linda Thorson (best known for her role as Tara King in the classic 1960s British television series 'The Avengers') leading the company as Lady Bracknell.
