After selling out 3 shows at the London Palladium in just hours and announcing an unprecedented immediate transfer to another West End Theatre, the Lyric, for 6 additional shows, Death Note THE MUSICAL in Concert today adds a 10th show due to overwhelming public demand.
It’s definitely not your regular staged concert. While there isn’t as much character exploration in this instance, the fact-driven numbers are enough to give a morsel of what a complete production could do.

The writers want so badly for this to be a soberly romantic mix between The Notebook and The Bridges of Madison County via Dear Evan Hansen, but only manage to hit the nails of its coffin. It’s unexciting, unengaging, and as deep as a rivulet. The characters are one-dimensional figurines, including the protagonist, whose only personality trait is her grief and inability to love anyone else but Stephen.
After selling out its initial two performances at the London Palladium in under eight hours, the producers of Death Note the Musical have added an additional performance on Tuesday 22nd August at 2.30pm.
