BWW Review: WORKING A MUSICAL is Relatable at The Merry – Go – Round Playhouse

The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival is now presenting a thought-provoking production of Working a Musical at the Merry – Go – Round Playhouse. The musical features a book by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso with additional contributions by Gordon Greenberg; music by Craig Carnelia, Micki Grant, Lin-Manual Miranda, Mary Rodgers and Susan Birkenhead, Stephen Schwartz, and James Taylor; and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. Producing Artistic Director of the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival, Brett Smock, directs and choreographs this simple, fresh, and relatable production.

WORKING Opens At FLMTF

The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival (FLMTF) opens its fourth production this season, Working, A Musical. The show runs September 4 through September 21 at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Emerson Park.

Pittsburgh Public Theater Presents A FEW GOOD MEN

This September, Upstart Productions stages a?oeCompany,a?? the Tony Award-winning musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by George Furth. The musical comedy centers around Bobby, a bachelor who can't seem to find a suitable partner for himself. The musical explores the different kinds of relationships he has with the people in his life. He looks into his friends' respective marriages and assesses his romantic attachments.

Hunter Foster and Jennifer Cody Co-Direct Redhouse's RENT; Full Cast

Redhouse will launch its its season with Jonathan Larson's Rent, which will run from September 19-29, 2019. The show will be co-directed by Redhouse Artistic Director, Tony Nominated actor and Director Hunter Foster and Broadway Veteran Actress Jennifer Cody who will also choreograph the show.

COMPANY Will Open On Broadway This Spring Starring Lenk, LuPone

BroadwayWorld has learned that COMPANY will come home to New York this season, with opening night set for March 22, 2020 at Broadway's Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. The production will officially open on Stephen Sondheim's 90th Birthday.

The Players Club of Swarthmore Presents MAMMA MIA!

In its opening show of the 2019-2020 season, The Players Club of Swarthmore presents Mamma Mia, the ultimate feel- good musical comedy. Mamma Mia is woven around many of ABBA's greatest hits, featuring music and lyrics by Benny Anderson and Bjorn Ulvaeus and book by Catherine Johnson. Mamma Mia is directed by Ryan Goulden with musical direction by Nora McDonnell and choreography by Joanne McBride. Tickets are available online at www.pcstheater.org. THE TALMUD Comes To THE DOXSEE @ Target Margin Theater

TARGET MARGIN THEATER in association with META-PHYS ED are pleased to announce the upcoming production of THE TALMUD, directed by Jesse Freedman.
