The Dirty Blondes (Artistic Director, Ashley J. After completing the most terrifying 4-part theatrical event of the fall, The Flea Theater will present an evening of winners of THE CUTTHROAT SERIES: GRAND GUIGNOL DUELS. Audience members were asked to vote on their favorite play during presentations of 4 separate pods of themed Grand Guignol plays (Gore, Cruelty, Night Terror, and Lust) which began in September. Now, these 4 winning plays will return for a limited run beginning January 15. These turn-of-the-century French plays alternate between ghastly horrors and carnal comedies to create a gripping, deplorable evening of theater.

The Flea Announces 2nd Part of Grand Guignol Series, The Cutthroat Series: Grand Guignol Duels -- Cruelty, today, October 14-25.

The Flea Theater presents Pod 2 of their terrifying 4 part theatrical event - THE CUTTHROAT SERIES: GRAND GUIGNOL DUELS beginning October 14. These turn of the century French plays alternate between ghastly horrors and carnal comedies to create a gripping, deplorable evening of theater. To add to that thrill, audience members will vote on their favorite play from each of the four pods (titled GORE, CRUELTY, NIGHT TERROR, and LUST) and the winners will return for an extended run in January. The winner from GORE was TICS, OR DOING THE DEED.

Co-Op Theatre East, The Dirty Blondes, and Tamar Halevi will present a new, immersive production of AFTER THE DANCE by Terence Rattigan (The Winslow Boy, Broadway 2013), with direction by Casey Cleverly, and script supervision by Ashley J. Jacobson.

Following the award-winning Dirty Blondes production, THE AMERICAN PLAY, playwright Ashley Jacobson puts pen to paper once again for The Miracle Play, a world premiere co-produced by The Dirty Blondes and The Secret Theater. THE MIRACLE PLAY follows a young woman, played by Remy Bennett (The Wolf of Wall Street), through her fall from grace, her struggle with the morbid nature of celebrity, and her journey to find peace.

After selling out almost all of its originally scheduled performances, The Flea Theater announces an extension of the New York premiere production of JOB, written by Thomas Bradshaw and directed by Flea Resident Director Benjamin Kamine. Previews began August 31, with opening night slated for Wednesday, September 19. Originally scheduled to end October 7, performances will now run through November 3.

The nominations have been announced for the Planet Connections Theatre Festivity's 2012 Awards Gala, taking place tonight, July 29 at 7:30pm at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (405 W. 55th Street). Among the nominees are three-time Tony Award-winner Hinton Battle (for directing & choreographing What We Do for Love or Other Desperate Measures) and recent Tony Award-nominee Patti Murin (for her performance in La Strega).
