The Glenridge Performing Arts Center’s 2023-2024 season opens with multi-award winning banjoist/vocalist Cynthia Sayer with her all-star Joyride Band performing a mix of jazz, American Songbook standards, and more, Wednesday, November 15, 7:30 p.m., at The Glenridge Performing Arts Center.

Algonquin Arts Theatre has announced a stellar lineup of concerts for their 2023-2024 season. Highlights of the new concert schedule include a Jazz Series, an Orchestra Series, Yacht Rock, Big Band, Short Films and tributes to Patsy Cline, Earth Wine & Fire, Burt Bacharach, Barry Manilow, Louis Armstrong, Chicago, Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash and more.

The annual Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival will be held on the Green on Saturday, September 17, from noon until 10:00 p.m. An initiative by Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty, the Festival enters its 12th year.

On Saturday, the Tin Pan Alley American Popular Music Project in collaboration with the Flatiron 23rd Street Partnership presented a free, outdoor public concert at the Flatiron North Plaza featuring more than two dozen leading performers of Tin Pan Alley music and the Great American Songbook. 

Dan Levinson's Hot Nights in Harlem, part of Summer JazzFest at the Bickford Theatre is a dazzling Musical Journey to the epicenter of Jazz in the 1920s and '30s with Dan Levinson's Gotham SophistiCats: Molly Ryan, Jeff Barnhart, Mike Davis, Jim Fryer, Rob Adkins, Kevin Dorn and special guest Dandy Wellington. Featuring the rompin', stompin' music of Fats Waller, Duke Ellington, Ethel Waters, Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, and others. Take the "A" Train uptown, step into the Savoy Ballroom, cut a rug with the Lindy Hoppers, then head on over to a rent party and watch the dawn break through. Or you can just sit there, tap your toes and listen to all the good sounds.

Terry Waldo's Gotham City Band comes to The Black Door 127 W. 26th Street (between 6th and 7th Ave.) every Monday Night 11 to 2.

The Players Club of Swarthmore opens its 2018-19 season with the Frank Loesser musical masterpiece Guys and Dolls Sept. 14-29, for ten performances at 614 Fairview Ave. in Swarthmore.  Directed by Anthony SanFilippo, this classic musical comedy about sinners and saints follows Nathan Detroit as he sets up the biggest craps game in town under the eye of the law and straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown.

America's longest running summer chamber music festival, Music Mountain, continues its summer of Beethoven on Sunday, July 8 (3pm) when the Shanghai Quartet performs Beethoven Quartet Cycle Program #5. The Connecticut favorite Jive By Five kicks off the weekend playing the best of the jazz age on Saturday, July 7 (6:30pm)! Concerts are scheduled through September 23.

Dan Levinson and his all-star band celebrate the music of those early days of jazz at the Bickford Theatre for one night only on Monday, February 26th at 7:30 pm.  Entitled Dan Levinson's Jazz 101: The Trailblazers of America's Original Art Form, the concert features the music of King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, the Original Dixieland Jazz Band, Jelly Roll Morton, The New Orleans Rhythm Kings, Clarence Williams, Eddie Condon, Duke Ellington and more.

Ready for something different? The Players Club of Swarthmore presents Trevor by Nick Jones, directed by Leigh Jacobs of Wynnewood, on the Raymond W. Smith stage. Performances are January 26 and 27 at 8 p.m., January 28 at 2 p.m., February 1 at 7:30, February 2 and 3 at 8. The 7th Annual Bickford Benefit Concert featuring the Bickford Benefit All Stars comes to the Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum for one night only on Monday, November 13, at 7:30 PM. The all-star ensemble, comprised of some of the best hot jazz players in the country, includes clarinetist Dan Levinson, trumpeter Mike Davis, trombonist Jim Fryer, pianist Jeff Barnhart, bassist Brian Nalepka, drummer St phane S va, and guitarist/singer Molly Ryan. All of the ticket sales from this concert will go to support programming at the Bickford Theatre.

The New York Hot Jazz Camp returns for its second year May 15th-21st, 2017 (18+). Building on last year's success they have an announced an addition of a youth camp April 10th-14th, 2017 (13-17 yrs) during NYC public schools' spring break.

An evening of hot, stompin' jazz is coming to Bickford Theatre. Join us on Monday, November 21 at 8:00PM for the return of the Bickford Benefit Band. This annual fundraising event supports programming and performances at the Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum.
