Players Club Of Swarthmore Presents GUYS AND DOLLS The Players Club of Swarthmore opens its 2018-19 season with the Frank Loesser musical masterpiece Guys and Dolls Sept. 14-29, for ten performances at 614 Fairview Ave. in Swarthmore. Directed by Anthony SanFilippo, this classic musical comedy about sinners and saints follows Nathan Detroit as he sets up the biggest craps game in town under the eye of the law and straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown. With lovable gamblers and overdue fiancés, Guys and Dolls brings laughter and fun to the PCS stage with choreography by Meghan Schulz and Jess Wisniewski and music direction by Eric Thompson and Emily Szal. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Damon Runyan's Broadway, Guys and Dolls showcases one of the greatest musical scores in the history of American theatre, with hits that include "I've Never Been in Love Before," "Take Back Your Mink" and "Luck, Be a Lady." Guys and Dolls features John Casertano (Havertown) as Nathan Detroit; Willem Guenther (Media) as fellow gambler Sky Masterson; Kristin Hegel (Philadelphia) as Miss Adelaide, the pride of the Hot Box Club; Monica Fischer (Springfield) as Sister Sarah Brown; Donna Dougherty (Bryn Mawr) as General Cartwright; Jeffrey Martin (Drexel Hill) as Nicely-Nicely Johnson; and Mike Sokolowski (Collingdale) as Benny Southstreet.

Ensemble cast members include: Glen Macnow (Havertown), Jim Fryer (Lansdowne), Harry Sokol (Swarthmore), Jay Steinberg (Penn Valley), Michael Murphy (Philadelphia), Tim Whelan (Wilmington, Del.), Andrew SanFilippo (Springfield), Oliver Feaster (Glenolden), Vincent Raspa (Broomall), Nicholas Fox (Wallingford), Anthony Florendo (Drexel Hill), Sean McDermott (Phoenixville), Kyle McLemore (Upper Darby), Marissa Capuano (Aston), Doris Chan (Concordville), Susan Cole (Chadds Ford), Emily-Grace Murray (Collegeville), Samantha DeWitt (Coatesville), Caitlin Naylor (Springfield), Tess Ansbro (Blue Bell), Leslie Green Shapiro (Wilmington, Del.), and Devon Duffy (Penns Grove, N.J.).

Guys and Dolls runs from Friday, Sept. 14, through Saturday, Sept. 29. Thursday performances are at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. New this year, The Players Club will offer wine and beer, as well as non-alcoholic concessions, at the Friday and Saturday night performances.
