In the contest held for fiveWednesday nights this summer at The Media Theatre, Hicks leapt to the front of the line with his wise choices and mature vocals. The Media Theatre's Roger Ricker has his annual fundraiser Wednesday night August 14. Each summer for the past eight years Ricker has held a concert to raise funds for the theatre's youth programs. This year's concert, "Star Power", will feature several special guests and members of the theatre's youth ensemble as they come together to celebrate with enthusiasm and a great message.

FOX-TV's morning anchor Sue Serio returns for her fourth summer and local actress Micki Sharpe begins a new tradition as the emcee for its Junior portion. The contest was previously titled 'Delco Idol'. It will, for the third year, be sponsored by Iron Workers Bank of Media and Aston.

Monty Python's 'Spamalot' musical is headed into a tree. No, not a tree--A theatre! The Media Theatre, actually.
