Those wishing to pursue a career in acting or singing may choose from a variety of courses at The Media Theatre beginning the weekend of January 11, 2014. The Winter Session of classes offers acting lessons weekly for children through adults as well as a new Improvisation Class with an instructor from Second City Training Center.

In keeping with the tradition of casting popular male actors in the spotlight role of Joseph, The Media Theater looks to 'The Bold and the Beautiful' soap star Kyle Lowder to portray the coat whirling Joseph for their Holiday season show.

Philadelphia actor Scott Langdon, who recently received rave reviews as King Arthur in The Media Theatre's production ofSpamalot, will perform his all of the roles in the original Charles Dickens masterpiece, 'A Christmas Carol' every weekend tonight, November 24 - December 22, 2013, at The Media Theatre. It's going to be a high-energy holiday in the Philadelphia/ Wilmington region when The Media Theatre produces Andrew Lloyd Webber's classic musical 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat' November 20 through January 5. Emmy nominated actor Kyle Lowder, of NBC's 'Days of Our Lives' and CBS' 'Bold and the Beautiful', puts on the Dreamcoat and adds his powerful vocals to power ballads 'Close Every Door' and 'Any Dream Will Do' in The Media Music Theatre Company's production. The Media Music Theatre Company, the professional music theatre organization housed at The Media Theatre, has a new man in charge of its orchestra for the upcoming musical "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". Scott Anthony, who began his piano studies at the tender age of four, will become the theatre's Music Director.

'Diva's Lament' will be performed by Tony nominated actress Ann Crumb when The Media Theatre presents the hilarious Monty Python musical Spamalot, tonight, September 25-November 3. She has appeared on Media's stage previously in the acclaimed productions Master Class, Wings, and Souvenir. In those three productions she was directed by Artistic Director Jesse Cline.

Actor Scott Langdon, recently seen in Artistic Director Jesse Cline's acclaimed production of Mame, is searching for the Holy Grail at The Media Theatre September 25 through November 3. He is stepping into the role of King Arthur in Monty Python's Spamalot in the Media Music Theatre Company production.

Emmy nominated daytime actor and stage star Kyle Lowder will have audiences singing 'Go Go Go Joseph!' this holiday season when he brings his vocal talents and soap opera physique to The Media Theatre's production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. He'll portray the title role in Artistic Director Jesse Cline's production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's family musical November 20 to January 5.

The Media Theatre has been delighting audiences for two decades with classic and contemporary musicals. It enters its 20th anniversary season with three Philadelphia regional professional premieres plus two classic productions.

The Media Theatre's Roger Ricker has his annual fundraiser tonight, August 14. Each summer for the past eight years Ricker has held a concert to raise funds for the theatre's youth programs. This year's concert, 'Star Power', will feature several special guests and members of the theatre's youth ensemble as they come together to celebrate with enthusiasm and a great message.

The Smith household has something to be proud of. David and Inge's daughter, 11 year old Emily Smith, won the 2013 'Vocalist Junior' contest at The Media Theatre. She zoomed ahead of the competition with smart song choices and an intriguing-sometimes humorous-stage presence with songs such as 'Diva's Lament' from Broadway's Spamalot and 'Four Chord Song' which is a hilarious ditty about the fact that all popular pop tunes share the same basic structure and composition.
