Broadway's original 'Annie', the Tony nominated Andrea McArdle, is on the boards at The Media Theatre this spring in the classic Jerry Herman musical 'Mame' April 17-May 19. The show focuses on Auntie Mame, the eccentric socialite who finds out she must care for her young nephew, forever changing her-and his-outlook on life. Songs include 'Open A New Window', 'Bosom Buddies', and 'We Need A Little Christmas'. Comedienne Lea DeLaria portays Mame's best pal Vera in Director Jesse Cline's revival of the hit.

The Media Theatre held its annual fundraising Gala on Saturday evening, February 23. The event is a celebration of the professional music theatre company's mission, with a focus on its patrons, supporters, and advocates. Dave White, of Delaware County Council, introduced the evening with special mention given to the theatre's educational opportunities and The State Street Miracles. Two special awards were given prior to the headlining concert by Broadway star Justin Guarini. Scroll below for photos from the event!

The Media Theatre's annual Gala, a premiere fundraiser for Delaware County's only professional music theatre, will feature American Idol and Broadway star Justin Guarini in a special one-night-only concert tonight, February 23.

Broadway and Bucks County Playhouse Producing Director Jed Bernstein will be recognized at The Media Theatre Gala on Saturday February 23 for his contribution to the American theatre. He will receive the 2013 Achievement in The Theatre Award during the evening's pre-show ceremony, which will culminate with a performance by Broadway star Justin Guarini.

The Media Theatre is offering a Holiday Camp, today, December 26-31, for youth ages 6 and up. The Camp will meet from 9am to noon on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Tuition includes a free ticket for campers to see 'A Velveteen Rabbit Christmas' on Saturday morning.

The Philadelphia Zoo is bringing some interesting creatures to The Media Theatre Saturday afternoons in December through December 22. The Zoo On Wheels will meet with audience members of 'Dr. Dolittle' prior to 2pm matinees in the theatre's Crystal Room.

Dr. Dolittle will be talking to the animals at The Media Theatre over the holidays as he brings in the New Year at The Media Theatre. The Philadelphia region's first professional production of the Leslie Bricusse two act musical based on the classic 1968 Rex Harrison film and the stories of Hugh Lofting will play tonight, November 20 to January 27.

On Saturday November 17 from 2-4pm The Media Theatre will hold a Talk-To-The-Animals-Day with Dr. Dolittle. Anyone who brings their pet to the theatre during this meet and greet occasion will receive a $5 gift voucher for an upcoming production and have plenty of photo opportunities.

Actor JP Dunphy is not one to box himself into one type of role on stage.
