Cherry Lane Theatre will conclude their season with the World Premiere of ORIGINAL SOUND, by Adam Seidel, directed by Elena Araoz with music direction by Daniel Ocanto. ORIGINAL SOUND will begin performances on Tuesday, April 30 run through June 8, 2019, and will celebrate its opening night on May 9, 2019, at Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St. in Manhattan). Tickets are $55 ($45 during previews) - $85 and are available by visiting CherryLaneTheatre.org, by calling 866-811-4111 or by visiting the Cherry Lane Theatre Box Office.

Tonight, FOX will air their third live musical production. Following in the footsteps of Grease and A Christmas Story, the network will be presenting Jonathan Larson's Rent, a rock musical that is loosely based on Giacomo Puccini's 1896 opera, La boheme. The story follows a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in New York City's East Village in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.

Tonight, Lexi Lawson, currently playing 'Eliza Schuyler' in Broadway's Hamilton, will join starry alumni of the Broadway, National Tour, and Off-Broadway companies of the Pulitzer Prize winning musical RENT. The special Valentine's Day tribute to the hit musical will take place on February 12 at The Cutting Room. The show will include songs from the musical, as well as special, unheard stories from former cast members, includingRichard H. Blake (A Bronx Tale, Legally Blonde), Antoine L. Smith (Miss Saigon), Corey Mach (Godspell, Hands on a Hardbody), and Christina Sajous (American Idiot, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark).
