Ralphie is coming to the rescue because it's the the seventh anniversary of A Christmas Story The Musical coming to Broadway! To celebrate us counting down to Christmas, we're looking back at the show's opening night at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, with the official Broadway debut of the now Oscar, Tony, and Grammy-winning songwriting duo of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. The Public Theater will present the Annual Gala performance of the groundbreaking and thought-provoking musical RUNAWAYS by Elizabeth Swados on Monday, June 11 at the Delacorte Theater. There will also be a free added public performance of the musical on Tuesday, June 12, open to all.

The Public Theatre has announced a free performance of the Liz Swados musical RUNAWAYS on Tuesday, June 12 at 8pm, at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Free tickets will be available via the line at Central Park, the TodayTix app, and the lottery at The Public Theater. Learn more about how to access free tickets. 

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) announced today that there will be a free added public performance of the groundbreaking and thought-provoking musical RUNAWAYS by Elizabeth Swados on Tuesday, June 12 at the Delacorte Theater. Directed by Sam Pinkleton, with choreography by Ani Taj, and creative advisement by Jeanine Tesori, the additional performance will celebrate the 40th anniversary of this milestone production that first premiered at The Public in 1978 and continues to be a definitive moment in Public Theater history.

Kara Oates, Mavis Simpson-Ernst, and Lucy-Mae Beacock have all signed-on to perform in #WeHaveAVoice: Broadway's Teens, on October 15, 7:00 p.m. at The Green Room 42 in Manhattan's Theater District.

On Sunday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m. at The Green Room 42, New York, NY, young performers from Broadway, Off Broadway, National Tours, Film, and Television, will perform songs that are written for teenagers, but rarely cast with actual teens.

New York City Center's Encores! Off-Center series kicked off the 2016 season with Runaways, beginning July 6th. With Book, Lyrics, and Music by Elizabeth Swados, choreography by Ani Taj, music direction by Chris Fenwick and directed by Sam Pinkleton, Runaways played its final performance on July 9th. New York City Center today announced the cast of the Encores! Off-Center production of Runaways, Elizabeth Swados' landmark musical about the stories, fears, and fantasies of runaway children. Cast largely from an open call attended by over 300 teenagers of 'all ethnicities, body types, gender identification, and ability levels,' the 'wolfpack' of 25, as director Sam Pinkleton affectionately calls them, embody the ferocious kinetic energy of today's New York-just as the original cast reflected the New York of 1978.
