The National Tour of Anastasia had its official opening night in Schenectady, New York last week! The production stars Lila Coogan as Anya, Stephen Brower as Dmitry, Jason Michael Evans as Gleb, Joy Franz as Dowager Empress, Tari Kelly as Countess Lily, Edward Staudenmayer as Vlad and Victoria Amelia Bingham as Little Anastasia. The ensemble includes Brianna Abruzzo, Ronnie S. Bowman Jr., Alison Ewing, Peter Garza, Jeremiah Ginn, Brett-Marco Glauser, Lucy Horton, Mary Illes, Fred Inkley, Kourtney Keitt, Beth Stafford Laird, Mark Mackillop, Kenneth Michael Murray, Taylor Quick, Claire Rathbun, Michael McCorry Rose, Matt Rosell, Sareen Tchekmedyian, and Addison Mackynzie Valentino.

The North American tour of the critically-acclaimed Broadway production of ANASTASIA will launch at Proctors in Schenectady, NY on October 9, 2018 and will go on to play 30 cities in its first season. Saint Michael's Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Chuck Tobin today announced the July 19 opening of the Off-Broadway hit Murder for Two at Saint Michael's Playhouse. Murder for Two features book and music by Joe Kinosian, book and lyrics by Kellen Blair and stars Noel Carey and Jeremiah Ginn, both from Murder for Two's national tour. Murder for Two creative team is led by director Jeremy Scott Lapp with choreography by Wendy Seyb, scenic design by John Paul Devlin, costume design by Andrea Lauer, lighting design Anthony Pellecchia, and sound design by Jill BC DuBoff.

I've seen several stagings of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT over the years, and I've always enjoyed the Tim Rice (book and lyrics) and Andrew Lloyd Webber (music) show each time. However, STAGES St. Louis has really outdone themselves with their latest production of this exuberant musical. The piece has always lent itself to approaching it with a great deal of imagination and creativity, since it's chock-full of hilarious, anachronistic humor and song, and this production takes full advantage of that fact. This show is a real treat, with strong performances and plenty of fun to go around, and I highly recommend it!

Anything Goes has music and lyrics by Cole Porter, and the original 1934 production ran for over a year. The show is coming to Musicals Tonight!, March 14-26, and the full cast has just been announced.
