MOCA Toronto Announces Major $1 Million Donation And Highlights Of 2021 Exhibition Programme

The Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto (MOCA) today announced that it has received a significant donation of $1million. The gift from a donor, who wishes to remain anonymous, will be applied to the Museum’s annual exhibition programme.

The Filigree Theatre Announces Their Season Three Winter Production THE TURN OF THE SCREW

The Filigree Theatre, the Austin-based, women-led, independent theatre company announces their Season Three Winter Production: 'The Turn of the Screw,' by Jeffrey Hatcher, set to run from Jan. 30 - Feb. 9, 2020 at Romy Suskin Photography Studio (2617 S. First St., Austin, Texas 78704), Thursdays through Sundays at 8 p.m. This production will be directed by The Filigree Theatre Founding Artistic Director, Elizabeth V. Newman and will star Austin actors James Lindsley and Paulina Fricke-Fox. Tickets for this production will be available for purchase Jan. 1 2020 on The Filigree Theatre website and directly via Eventbrite. The audience is invited to join the director, cast and crew for complimentary cookies and champagne following each performance.

Starring Alani Rose Chock (Kay McClure), Brittany Flurry (Monique DuPont), Karen Harrison (Anne Clarkson) and Brennan Patrick (David Greene), directed by Elizabeth V. Newman and produced by Stephanie Moore, the production will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm from April 4-13, 2019 at The Mastrogeorge Theatre (130 Pedernales St).

GREAT EXPECTATIONS is Charles Dickens' thirteenth novel and depicts the personal growth and development of an orphan nicknamed Pip. It is Dickens's second novel, after David Copperfield, to be fully narrated in the first person. The novel was first published as a serial in Dickens's weekly periodical All the Year Round, from 1 December 1860 to August 1861. In October 1861, Chapman and Hall published the novel in three volumes. It has been adapted into a multitude of films, television programs and stage productions. The adaptation by Barbara Field is currently on stage at The Vortex as produced by Different Stages.

GET OUT (Universal Pictures) won the top honors for Best Publicity Campaign for Motion Pictures and STRANGER THINGS 2 (Netflix/Wonder View)won the Best Publicity Campaign in Television, both presented by KELLY MARIE TRAN (Star Wars: The Last Jedi). This year's luncheon, which traditionally occurs the week leading up to the Academy Awards, was chaired by HENRI BOLLINGER and co-chaired by TIM MENKE. More than 900 industry leaders attended including guild members, Hollywood public relations and marketing executives, producers, studio and network executives, celebrities and press.
