Washington, DC-founded LA TI DO Productions (LTD) expands its city count to six with the launch of a new series in Dallas/Ft. Worth with a Songs of Sondheim cabaret at Union Coffee. The show is expected to present at different venues in Dallas and Ft. Worth throughout 2022. Union Coffee is located at 3705 Cedar Springs Rd, Dallas, TX 75219.

Uptown Players presents its 19th annual fundraiser Broadway Our Way '22. This year's production is written and directed by B.J. Cleveland, choreographed by Andrew Coopman with music direction by Kevin Gunter and Kelley Poche Rodriguez and musical arrangements by Adam C. Wright. Broadway Our Way will run June 9 - 12, at the Kalita Humphreys Theater. This year's event includes the return of two special guests, Emerson Collins and Black McIver

The cast of Fun Home includes Duke Anderson, Leslie Collins, Michael Diego Alonzo, Hunter Hall, Jennifer Kuenzer, Max Rudelman, Summer Stern, Emily Truelove, and Ashlie Whitworth. The show is under the direction of Cheryl Denson, with music direction by Isaac Leaverton.

The most recent entry in a citywide program of arts activism is Dallas Children's Theater's Teen Scene Players' production of ANDI BOI. This original work by a local DFW playwright Bruce Coleman runs through February 16.

In the bustling and bawdy women's dressing room of a regional theatre on the eve of the 2016 presidential election, Nora, an actor playing Blanche in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, is facing a tough decision: should she risk jeopardizing the greatest career opportunity of her life by telling the truth about the terrible thing that just happened to her on stage, or should she push through and keep her head down, eyes on the prize, as she's always done?

'In the Next Room' centers around Doctor and Mrs. Givings, an upper-middle-class late 19th century family. Doctor Givings specializes in treating hysteria, a malady which we now know to be a bunch of baloney, but which apparently plagued a large percentage of women in that era.

After an incredibly successful workshop run at Theatre Three's Theater Too in Dallas, playwright Jessica Cavanagh's SELF-INJURIOUS BEHAVIOR is headed for a New York showcase run at Urban Stages. Produced by the Dallas-based team of Cavanagh, actor/director Marianne Galloway, and producer Bren Rapp, the play will run in April during Autism Awareness Month and will feature the original workshop cast under Galloway's direction. Along with the cast of seven, which includes Dallas acting powerhouses Ian Ferguson, Danielle Pickard, Jennifer Kuenzer and Cavanagh, starring as a fictionalized version of herself, the orignal Dallas production and design team including set designer Jeff Schimdt (Artistic Director of Theatre Three) will be involved in transitioning the show from its local workshop phase to its New York showcase. Acting as associate producer, former DFW actor/artist now based in New York, Montgomery Sutton, will help to bring the play to the New York market. Uptown Players kicks off its 2017-2018 season with the hit musical The Full Monty, running October 20 November 5 at the Kalita Humphreys Theater.

Opening night at Theatre Three's A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC got off to a slow start, due to the late arrival of one of the theatre technicians. The show itself followed suit, starting off slow, but finding its stride as the evening continued, and ultimately ending in a heartwarming finale. While it may not be everyone's cup of tea, this production is strong and well worth seeing.
