WingSpan Theatre Company Presents ON THE VERGE By Eric Overmyer ImageWINGSPAN THEATRE COMPANY in cooperation with The Bath House Cultural Arts Center celebrates our TWENTY FIRST SEASON!

This Fall, WingSpan Theatre Company will present On The Verge or The Geography of Yearning - By Eric Overmyer. Eric Overmyer is one of the most imaginative and inventive playwrights of the 20th Century. Eric Overmyer takes us on a mirthful journey through space, time, history, geography, feminism and fashion.

Three Victorian lady travelers - Mary, Fanny, and Alexandra - take it upon themselves to explore "the mystery of things" and set out for "Terra Incognita" and soon discover the future. These intrepid trekkers pass through a jungle bejeweled with artifacts of the yet to come, hack through history's underbrush, sojourn with cannibals, bridge-guarding trolls, gas station attendants and night club crooners. Along the way, they explore language, imagination and, most of all, the human desire to wander unmapped places both inside and outside ourselves. What is it that calls us on to discover the new and strange and incorporate it into what we are by making it part of what we do and know? Each of us live every moment of every day "on the verge." The reason we find for continuing the journey is rife with the geography of our own yearnings.

The play will be Directed by: Producing Artistic Director, Susan Sargeant. The Cast:
