Thursday. Usually a day of only one show. A day where a paycheck is magically delivered to your bank account by direct deposit or by check to your hands by a company manager... Well today was no ordinary Thursday! First of all, because it is our last week in Los Angeles, the crew will be loading out the show right after the matinee on Sunday to get it to the east coast so they changed the schedule around to have a matinee and an evening performance today. Tonight's audience was off the HOOK! They were hooting and hollering and clapping and screaming and making us feel like rockstars. I'm sorry to say that a good audience gets a better performance out of people on stage. Not that much better, but still, if we have a crowd that is incredible, the actors will be electrified and have more energy. That's just the truth.

Cape May Stage, South Jersey's premiere Equity theatre, will welcome back two of their favorite performers: husband-and-wife team Michael Tucker and Jill Eikenberry. Well known as the stars for eight seasons of NBC's "L.A. Law," the couple returns to Cape May Stage in "Mike's Shorts": a series of tales weaving the couple's love of food with their love for each other. Black Lab Theatre is busy putting the bang into the BOOM by Peter Sinn Nachtrieb. The cast and crew are hard at work rehearsing their upcoming production of the popular dark comedy. During Friday evening's rehearsal break Jordan Jaffe, Black Lab Theatre's Artistic Director who is playing Jules in the show, Lindsay Ehrhardt, who is playing Jo in the show, Justin Doran, who is directing the show, Aaron Garrett, who is one Assistant Director, and Luna Oliveira, Black Lab Theatre's Dramaturg and also an Assistant Director for the show, all sat down with me to talk about BOOM, the apocalypse, and Black Lab Theatre's upcoming season.

Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Founder & Artistic Director), celebrates its return to the theaters at 45 Bleecker Street with the award-winning 10th anniversary production of the hit play, The Exonerated, written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, presented in special association with The Innocence Project, Directed by Bob Balaban (Gosford Park), the rotating cast will feature Stockard Channing, Brian Dennehy, John Forte, and Brooke Shields. Exoneree Sunny Jacobs, whose story is shared within the play, joins the cast for one-week, September 25 - 30. Additional casting will be announced shortly.
