The two lead cast members and the creative team has been announced for Recognition, Talawa Theatre Company's major new production opening this summer.  Talawa, the UK's outstanding Black theatre company, is presenting the premiere of Recognition at Fairfield Halls, as part of This Is Croydon, London Borough of Culture 2023.  Recognition is inspired by the remarkable life and works of dual-heritage Black classical composer, and Croydon resident, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.

Touching on nationalism, childish loyalty and what it means to be English, The Misfortune Of The English is Pamela Carter’s new play, inspired by tragic, true events. In April 1936 a group of 27 schoolboys are on a walking holiday in Nazi Germany’s Black Forest. By the end of the day, after collectively choosing a difficult route in terrible weather, five of them are dead.

Hampstead Theatre has released production images for the world premiere of Florian Zeller’s new play, The Forest.  Running until 12 March 2022, The Forest is translated by Zeller’s long-time collaborator Christopher Hampton, and directed by Jonathan Kent, who re-unites with Zeller after his critically acclaimed production of The Height of the Storm.

New rehearsal images have been released from THE JUNGLE BOOK, the new musical version of Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale adapted and directed by Tom Jackson Greaves.

Full casting has been announced for THE JUNGLE BOOK, the new musical version of Rudyard Kipling's classic tale adapted and directed by Tom Jackson Greaves, that will play at The Watermill over the Christmas period from Thursday 18 November – Friday 31 December, with two press performances on Saturday 20 November (one socially distanced).

From composer John Robinson (Behind the Iron Mask, Duchess Theatre), with book by Phil Willmott (Once Upon a Time At the Adelphi; Relativity: The Einstein Musical), Lady Chatterley’s Lover is directed by the award-winning Sasha Regan (All-Male Pirates of Penzance, UK and International tours), with production design by Andrew Exeter (High Fidelity, Turbine Theatre) and costume design by Jasmine Swan (Animal Farm, Royal & Derngate).

Lady Chatterley’s Lover will be brought to life by a cast of experienced talent with new up-and  coming star Georgia Lennon (One Enchanted Evening, Glastonbury Abbey; Beauty and the   Beast, Grand Opera House, Belfast) playing the role of Lady Chatterley. Lennon’s voice is not to be missed and this is the chance to catch her in the West End for a strictly limited run before she  goes onto be a regular West End leading lady!

Papatango today announce the extension of their critically-acclaimed production Shook by Samuel Bailey. The 2019 Papatango New Writing Prize-winner, which was due to transfer to the West End when the pandemic hit, was filmed and made available to stream at the beginning of this month.
