Antonio Fini, founder/director of the Fini Dance Festival and Italian International Dance Awards has announced the 2023 Fini Dance Festival and Italian International Dance Awards, set for August 31 at the Ailey Citigroup Theater.   

In the eighth week of the 2023 Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, the world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company will perform Graham’s Cave of the Heart and Errand Into the Maze, and Hofesh Shechter’s CAVE, in the Ted Shawn Theatre from Aug. 16-20.

The Martha Graham Dance Company will present GRAHAM100—The First and The Future, a three-season 100th anniversary celebration of Martha Graham’s work and legacy to begin September 2023 and continue throughout 2026.

The Feast, a world premiere reinvention of a baroque banquet envisioned by Long Beach Opera and inspired by G. F. Handel’s opera Alessandro, received its world premiere with performances May 20 and 21, 2023. See photos from inside the event. 

THE FEAST is a world premiere reinvention of a baroque banquet inspired by G. F. Handel’s opera Alessandro, featuring wide-ranging operatic and orchestral works from Handel’s repertoire in an evening-length experience that merges opera, dance, theater, and cuisine.

Juilliard will hold its 118th commencement ceremony in New York on May 19  at 11am at Alice Tully Hall, presided over by Juilliard President Damian Woetzel and  Vincent Mai, chair of the board of trustees. It will also be livestreamed at juilliard.edu.

92NY announces a call for submissions for the 2023 Future Dance Festival. Created by Harkness Dance Center director Taryn Kaschock Russell, the Future Dance Festival  is a choreographic competition aiming to give new creators an opportunity to showcase their work.

The Martha Graham Dance Company’s Studio Series offers audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the work of the Company in the intimate Martha Graham Studio Theater. The 2022–2023 Studio Series will take place in-person at the Martha Graham Studio Theater.

The Martha Graham Dance Company has announced that it has commissioned choreographers Baye & Asa and Annie Rigney to create new works for the Company. Both works will premiere as part of the Company's Joyce Theater season in spring 2023.
