After celebrating its 25th Anniversary at The Soraya in 2017, DIAVOLO | Architecture in Motion returns for its fourth engagement a?" this time with This Is Me: Letters from the Front Lines. From DIAVOLO artistic director Jacques Heim, This Is Me explores how the current climate of isolation has encouraged us to look within ourselves. It is The Soraya's fourth online performance.

Inspired by archival remnants of Martha Graham's “Immediate Tragedy,” a solo she created in 1937 in response to the Spanish Civil War, and in collaboration with composer Henry Cowell, the Martha Graham Dance Company, the Los Angeles-based Wild Up music collective, and The Soraya have created an innovative Digital Dance creation, Immediate Tragedy.

Inspired by Martha Graham's lost solo from 1937, Immediate Tragedy is a new digital creation created by 22 artists collaborating from locations across the U.S. and Europe.

The Martha Graham Dance Company's latest work IMMEDIATE TRAGEDY will premiere online Friday, June 19 at 4pm (PDT)/7pm (EDT) on The Soraya Facebook page. In collaboration with composer Christopher Rountree and his musical ensemble Wild Up, Janet Eilber (Martha Graham Dance Company's Artistic Director) has re-choreographed this historical solo into a number for fourteen dancers with the creative help of the fourteen dancers.

The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts has announced its launch of a special online series of exclusive live stream interviews with global performing artists from its upcoming 2020-2021 season of performances on Wednesdays at noon in June.

The Martha Graham Dance Company announces the 2019–20 season of its popular Studio Series, which offers audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the work of the Company in the intimate setting of the Martha Graham Studio Theater. The events in the Studio Series revolve around The EVE Project, the Company's season theme celebrating female empowerment and the 100th anniversary in 2020 of women's right to vote.
