Sister Act ranks pretty high up as one of my favorite movies, so getting to see SISTER ACT JR at The Royal Theatre in Benton was a real treat. From July 11-21, the Young Players performed to packed houses with some of those shows being sold out. It is astounding that these thespians put out such a great performance. I am excited to continue to watch them grow throughout their theatrical endeavors.
The Historic Royal Theatre will present the Young Players in their “divine” production of Sister Act JR. This production, made possible by our sponsorship with Everett Buick GMC, will open July 2024. On Friday, June 4, 2021, composer Jerod Impichchaachaaha' Tate will release the world premiere recording of Lowak Shoppala' (Fire and Light) on Azica Records. Commissioned by American Composers Forum, the 2009 staged world premiere of Lowak Shoppala' featured the Chickasaw Nation Dance Troupe.

Artistic Director of Theatre Royal Plymouth Simon Stokes today announces the full cast for the world premiere of April de Angelis' After Electra. Samuel West directs Michael Begley (Roy), Rachel Bell (Sheila), Marty Cruickshank (Virgie), Kate Fahy (Sonia), Neil McCaul (Tom), Veronica Roberts (Haydn), James Wallace (Orin) and Eleanor Wyld (Miranda). The production opens on 16 March at The Drum, Theatre Royal Plymouth, with previews from 12 March, and runs until 28 March, before transferring to the Tricycle Theatre from 7 April to 2 May.
