Written by Yasmina Reza, directed by Jerry Heymann and now in performances at Urban Stages, Life x3 is New Light Theater Project's revival performance using the translations of Christopher Hampton. With a stellar cast that can navigate the paths of essentially three characters each with obvious ease, this production carefully presents nuances in character and circumstance and asks the audience to notice how and why each of the three instances is different. LIFE x3 begins performances on Tuesday, November 20 for a limited engagement through Saturday, December 8. Press opening is Sunday, November 25 at 3 PM. The performance schedule is Wednesday - Saturday at 7:30 PM; Sunday at 3 PM. There is an added performance on Tuesday, November 21 at 7:30 PM; there are no performances on Wednesday, November 22 Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24 for Thanksgiving. Her ordeal drives her to the outer fringes of society. After struggling to establish facts that the government, the media, her family and her countrymen deny, she protests with a harrowing act of sacrificial tragedy. The play's world premiere will be presented Off-Broadway by Delphi Film from June 6 to 30 at The Flea Theater Mainstage, 20 Thomas Street, directed by Chris Murrah.
The American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Producer Diane Borger, will offer a sensory friendly performance of Bedlam's Sense & Sensibility on Tuesday, January 9 at 6:30PM. The performance for adults and children ages 12 and up will be specially modified for individuals with sensory needs, including people on the autism spectrum and their families and caretakers. This expansion of the theater's access performances, which include ASL interpreted, audio described, open captioned, and family-friendly sensory friendly performances, reflects A.R.T.'s commitment to providing quality arts experiences for all.
