The 10th Annual New York Innovative Theatre Awards Ceremony will celebrate the Off-Off-Broadway Theatre community and honor this past season's greatest achievements. The awards will be presented by celebrities from the theatre community at large.

On Monday, July 21, 2014, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization who for the past 10 years has been dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2014 nominees at its annual event. Celebrating ten years and thousands of nominees, the IT PARTY took place at XL Night Club, 512 West 42nd Street.

On May 12, 2014 the Jewish Theater Festival will launch the first of it's eight shows, 'The Rigano Songbook' at the Mandell JCC in West Hartford, Connecticut. The J*Fest is the first Festival of contemporary Jewish theater and entertainment that is hosted and supported by local community organizations.

Since the show opened on January 9, it's been the hottest ticket in town with 19 of 20 performances sold out. Now, after a brief rest and with the support of Interfaith's I M Foundation, the company is set to resume performances this Friday, February 28 for another two weeks.

This rare revival will run for eight performances between January 9 and 19, 2014. Each performance will be followed by talkbacks or panel discussions with leaders in the arts, government, labor, and health. These discussions are intended to raise critical questions about health access, race, class, and the arts in New York.

Wave Productions in association with Shetler Studios & Theatres present the World Premiere of Charles Cissel's ORGANIC SHRAPNEL, directed by Robin A. Paterson. Previews begin January 31 at Theater 54 with opening slated for February 7.

59E59 Theaters will welcome the return of The Shop with the US premiere of I AM THE WIND, written by Jon Fosse, translated by Simon Stephens, and directed by Paul Takacs. Classic Stage Company announced today that the official opening of Anton Chekhov's IVANOV has shifted to this Sunday, November 11 (from the recently announced date of November 15). The change comes following the just-announced postponement of the opening night of GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS on Broadway.

Austin Pendleton will step into the role of Lebedev beginning Friday, October 26 in his production of Anton Chekhov's IVANOV at Classic Stage Company (135 East 13th Street) replacing veteran actor Louis Zorich, who has withdrawn due to a foot injury. Pendleton performed the role of Lebedev in a 1990 production at Yale Repertory. IVANOV, which stars Ethan Hawke, Joely Richardson and Juliet Rylance, and is directed by Pendleton, is currently in previews, prior to an official opening Sunday, November 4.
