MEDEA/BRITNEY To Be Re-Imagined At ClubFringe

James Clements and Sophia Frank have announced that they are remoutning their multi-media performance project, MEDEA/BRITNEY, four years on from its public debut in 2015. Clements and Frank will return as Co-Producers on the project, along with Pablo Calderón-Santiago. Clements will re-imagine the show as both writer and director, along with his co-creator, Frank, who will once again play the two titular characters. Filmmaker, photographer and performer Calderón-Santiago will design all technical and production elements. The re-imagining of MEDEA/BRITNEY will be presented as a Mainstage Production as part of FringeClub at the Nuyorican Poets Café, 236 E 3rd St, New York, NY 10009. Performances will take place on October 14th-16th at 7.45pm. FringeClub is part of the New York City Fringe's 2019 BYOV festival. Tickets will go on sale in the coming weeks.

WWTNS? Announces Creative Team For AGUA, VIDA Y TIERRA Workshop

What Will the Neighbors Say? is thrilled to announce the creative team for the workshop production of their upcoming devised project, Agua, Vida y Tierra, this November. The production will officially inaugurate the company's 2019-2020 season at MITU580, the new home of the renowned Theatre Mitu company, in Gowanus. The performances will be held on November 15th and 16th at 7.30pm and November 17th at 3pm at MITU580, 580 Sackett St, Brooklyn, NY 11217. Tickets will go on sale next month, and full casting will be announced in the coming weeks.

BETWEEN THE THREADS Comes To The Pozez JCC Of Northern Virginia For Two Performances Only

Fresh off a successful run Off-off Broadway, Between the Threads will play at the Pozez JCC of Northern Virginia with only two performances on June 16. The production is directed by Coral Cohen who also conceived the piece, and features original music by Violinist Zoe Aqua. The extremely limited run features an all-female-identified cast who helped develop the piece, and creative team.

WWTNS? Heads to Puerto Rico for Upcoming AGUA, VIDA Y TIERRA

What Will the Neighbors Say? announces that the company will be travelling to Puerto Rico for the month of March to begin research and development for their latest project. The devised performance piece, 'Agua, Vida y Tierra,' is a response to the trauma of Hurricane Maria, as well as to the legacy of centuries of colonialism in general on the island. Following the residency, WWTNS? will begin a two month development process in Brooklyn, culminating in a public showing at the end of June, ahead of a workshop production in the Spring of 2020 at a soon-to-be-announced venue in New York.

Originally presented as a workshop production at the Hudson Guild Theatre in 2016, the play's Off-Broadway debut marks the centenary of the Armistice that ended WWI, and WWTNS?'s second show at HERE this year. The production is a part of SubletSeries@HERE: Co-op, HERE's curated rental program, which provides artists with subsidized space and equipment, as well as technical support Sources of Light Other Than the Sun will play at HERE, 145 6th Ave, New York, 10013 from December 7th-9th with shows on Friday and Today at 8.30pm and on Sunday at 4pm.

James Clements is an actor, writer, producer and director splitting his time between Scotland, London and New York. His New York based theatre company What Would the Neighbors Say? is currently workshopping a new play exploring the career of Leni Riefenstahl, a filmmaker who got her start working during the Nazi regime. Clements took a moment to chat with BroadwayWorld about the challenging project and the development process.

Photo Flash: Andrew Morton Attends Opening Night Of THE DIANA TAPES

'The Diana Tapes' produced by What Will the Neighbors Say? and Stockwell Playhouse opened to a full house on June 26th in London, following an Off-Broadway run at HERE Arts Center last month. Andrew Morton, the main character of the play, was in attendance along with News Night anchor Kirsty Wark and West End actor Charlotte Randle among others.

James Clements is a Scottish theatre-maker and actor based between New York and Glasgow. He is a Co-Artistic Director of What Will the Neighbors Say?, a new theatre company producing The Diana Tapes. After its premiere off-Broadway earlier this summer, this play - about the publication of Andrew Morton's Princess Diana book, Diana: Her True Story in Her Own Words - is making its UK premiere at the Stockwell Playhouse. Clements wrote the play and is also portraying Andrew Morton
