Wendell Pierce (Olivier nominee for Best Actor for Death of a Salesman) will make his University Musical Society (UMS) debut with a Digital Artist Residency that will feature a filmed, fully-staged production of James Anthony Tyler's 2015 play, Some Old Black Man. The two-person play also features veteran actor Charlie Robinson.

The new season introduces a flexible membership model and includes shifting from a traditional 5 play season to a Season of 12 plays delivered monthly. In a nod to the bygone days of radio plays, Casey Stangl created RADIO ROUND, a series of 10 short interlinked two-character plays written by 10 visionary writers, performed online by 10 all-star actors, in which one character from each play moves forward to the next play until it comes full circle. Thus, a character from the last play winds up meeting a character from the first, proving the whole of humanity is interconnected and absolutely greater than the sum of its parts.
