The collaboration is the first new Thundercat song in over three years, which arrives ahead of a huge string of tour dates for Thunder’s In Yo Girl’s City tour including North and South American dates.

MICHAEL J. BENJAMIN has unveiled an acoustic version of “The Same Again”, ahead of his debut EP. Produced by Jon McMullen (Wet Leg, Michael Kiwanuka) at his London studio, “The Same Again (Acoustic) makes for a wistful country-blues record that feels simultaneously nostalgic and refreshing; true to a style that Benjamin is quickly making his own.

A radiant, reflective ballad that sees the young musician pair distinctive Cash-meets-Cohen vocals with his knack for heart-rending storytelling, the new track was produced by Jon McMullen (Wet Leg, Michael Kiwanuka) in London. A song that finds the singer-songwriter rewinding sepia-tinted memories of his past.

The track is a followup to her recent album, 'Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd?,' which was released in March. The album was written Del Rey by Mike Hermosa and produced by Del Rey, Jack Antonoff, and more. It features collaborations with Jon Batiste, Bleachers, Father John Misty, Judah Smith, Tommy Genesis, and SYML.

The five-track EP features re-imagined versions of fan favorite hits from her discography and critically acclaimed sophomore album Sling, including “Bags,” “Amoeba,” “Zinnias,” “Partridge,” and “Blouse.” Not to mention, Clairo’s performance of “Amoeba” for the EP recording was her first time performing the song live on-camera.

Folks looking to catch Thundercat live now have the chance to do so at iconic venues from LA’s Greek Theatre to Red Rocks in Colorado. Prior to these headlining dates, the bassist will be performing with acts including Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, and The Mars Volta, before taking his show to Australia, Asia, and Europe later this summer.
