Historic Hudson Valley and Brian Clowdus bring The Sleepy Hollow Experience, a new signature Halloween event, to Sleepy Hollow Country's top-rated fall festivities this year. Brooklyn Tavern Theater, led by composer/lyricist/writer Dan Furman, is presenting 'Impossible but True,' a 'tavern musical' inspired by Washington Irving's Rip Van Winkle story, through October 29 at Franklin 820 in Crown Heights, Brooklyn and in Manhattan at Uncle Charlie's, 139 East 45th Street. This immersive musical aims to pioneer a new genre of no-frills productions in hospitable places that are underused for performances. Cailín Heffernan directs.

Vineyard Theatre and Developing Artists will partner again to present Developing Artists' Rebel Verses, a two-week festival of performances by some of the best youth companies in New York City and beyond. Performances are August 8-17 at Vineyard Theatre (108 East 15th Street).  

The NOLA Project, an ensemble-based theatre company focused on presenting new and classic works of theatre often with large casts in unique and immersive settings throughout the city of New Orleans, announces its 15th Anniversary Season: This Way to Adventure. For its 15th Season, the company will present four exciting and provocative plays, three of which are world premieres.

Pay tribute to fearless women past and present during Vote Like a Girl at Washington Irving's Sunnyside on Saturday, June 1, from 10am-4pm.  Art activities, games, music, and a parade will highlight the day's celebration of the 100th anniversary of the 19th amendment, passed by Congress on June 4, 1919. 

Second Street Players Children's Theater proudly present The Legend of Sleepy Hollow adapted by Vera Morris based on the tale by Washington Irving. Performance dates are March 15, 16, and 17 . Curtain is at 7pm for the Friday and Saturday shows and 2pm for the Sunday show. Due to renovations at the Riverfront Theater all performances will be held at Milford High School 1019 N Walnut Street, Milford , Delaware. Boroughs of the Dead's annual holiday tour, Ghosts of Christmas Past, returns for a limited run on Saturdays and Sundays in December.

After a sold-out workshop run in March, Paranormal History Productions returns to Colonnade Row with an official limited run of The Bloody Deed of 1857 for the autumn season. The immersive 90 minute play is an adaptation of news accounts which reported the breathless daily developments about a sensational murder that took place on nearby Bond Street. Elise Gainer, author of Ghosts and Murders of Manhattan, credits the nearby Merchant's House Museum with the idea to turn this true-life murder into a play. The work was selected as the featured piece in the Tectonic Theatre Project's Advanced Moment Work Master Class with Moises Kaufman in May 2017. Ken Davenport, the veteran Broadway producer, consulted on this unique immersive experience including script and overall project development.
