Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors has announced the details of forthcoming studio album Dragons, due out August 16th, 2019 via Thirty Tigers and released the first new single from the LP, “Family,” which is available now via your preferred music service! “Dragons is the culmination of two and a half years of writing and wrestling and dreaming and fighting,” Holcomb states, “I have never worked this hard on a record before.”
JEMS To Release Debut Album on May 17

Los Angeles-based band JEMS will release their debut self-titled album on May 17 (pre-order). This week the band revealed the latest single from the album 'Like Myself.' The track premiered this week at AudioFemme along with an exclusive interview with the band. 'Like Myself' can also be shared at SoundCloud. On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, Third Street Music School Settlement (Third Street), the nation's longest running community school, will honor Arturo O'Farrill, Grammy-winning artist, composer and performer, Emily Warren, singer and Grammy-winning and multi-platinum songwriter, and Gus Wenner, President and Chief Operating Officer of Rolling Stone at its Annual Spring Gala. Sara Haines, co-anchor of Good Morning America, will serve as master of ceremonies and Harry Santa-Olalla will host the live auction. The artist, born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, began writing and performing at an early age, tinkering around on his father's guitar and experimenting with songwriting. He released his debut album, 'All Seasons' in 2016 and immediately hit the tour circuit to bring the music to audiences from coast to coast. He's performed over 300 shows and already has a multitude of accolades under his belt including being named the Shepherd Express 2017 'Best of Milwaukee' winner for 'Best Acoustic Musician' and a Wisconsin Area Music Industry nomination for 'Best New Artist' in 2016. He spent most of 2018 writing and recording the songs that comprise 'Love, Future You' with producer Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Cary Brothers, Joshua Radin) and co-writers Kyler England and Garrison Starr. The collection of songs is powerhouse pop perfection that will have listeners hitting repeat again and again.

Co-curators: choreographer Stefanie Nelson of Stefanie Nelson Dancegroup and bestselling author David Shenk (The Forgetting) present the launch of a new festival devoted to memory and forgetting. The inaugural event will feature Stefanie Nelson's A, MY NAME IS…, a dance piece inspired by a family experience with dementia, using several short films from David Shenk's Living With Alzheimer's Film Project. It will take place on January 23, 2019, at Aaron Davis Hall at The City College of New York (129 Convent Avenue at West 135th Street), with performances at 11:00 am and 6:30 pm. Both shows will be followed by a discussion with invited panelists including Meredith Wong from CaringKind's Connect2Culture program, and a reception (evening show only).
