The New York Pops has announced artist and programming updates for its 40th anniversary season with concerts in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. Heather Headley replacing Adrienne Warren, will now be featured in a solo concert with The New York Pops on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 8:00 p.m.

Broadway favorite Betsy Wolfe will headline The New York Pops Underground cabaret performance on Monday, September 19, 2022 at 54 Below, performing selections from Waitress, The Last 5 Years, and her new Broadway show, & Juliet.

Ingrid Michaelson and Laurence O'Keefe will write original music for Disney's new musical movie, Penelope. Plot details for the film are currently under wraps, other than that the film will be a new and 'unique twist' on the fairy tale. Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist producer Robert Suddeth is writing the script.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater announced the cast and creative team for the highly anticipated world premiere of The Notebook, a new musical based on the bestselling novel by Nicholas Sparks that inspired the iconic film.

Just in time to celebrate Pride weekend! The live recording of Songs of the Phoenix, will be available everywhere, digitally, Friday, June 24th. Songs of the Phoenix features music by composers and lyricists Ty Defoe, Alexandra Elle, Siedah Garrett, Joriah Kwame, Daniel Lazour, Patrick Lazour, Melissa Li, Andrew Lippa, Ingrid Michaelson, Stephen Schwartz, Stephen Sondheim, Diana Syrse, and Kit Yan.

Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, The New York Pops, led by Music Director and Conductor Steven Reineke, will now open its 2022-23 season—its 40th anniversary—with The Music of Star Wars on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage (originally scheduled for February 10, 2023).

The new soundtrack features the shows stars, Sara Bareilles, Reneé Elise Goldsberry, Busy Phillips, and Paula Pell, and also features vocal performances from Andrew Rannells, Ashley Park, Erika Henningsen, Ingrid Michaelson, and Jeremiah Craft. Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles announced today that its season will conclude with A Salute to Sondheim, featuring special guest artist John Holiday (NBC’s The Voice and Matthew Aucoin’s Eurydice at The Metropolitan Opera).

“Karma” is the newest single off the Miami-based indie singer/songwriter’s debut album, it is what it is — releasing independently, and though it is one of the oldest songs off the album, it’s one of the songs she’s the proudest of on this collection.
