A new play about iconic entertainer, spy and civil rights activist Josephine Baker comes to Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre this October half term.

Dance Me a Song Collective in partnership with Prime Mover Theatre Company announced today that Tony-Award winning Broadway legend Susan Stroman and her long-time collaborator, dance arranger David Krane will headline Theatre Making Movement – a weeklong symposium of events, workshops, panel discussions, and masterclasses that centre around the idea of integrating dance and movement into the early developmental stages of new musical creation.

Siana Bangura and Christina Nicole, in partnership with English Touring Theatre, today announce a new podcast series Behind the Curtains, spotlighting Black creatives in the theatre industry. The series, hosted by Siana Bangura and Christina Nicole and co-produced by ETT, Bangura, and Nicole, will feature conversations with Black theatre-makers and creatives about their career experiences and navigating the current creative landscape.

Casting details are announced for Europeana, Peer Gynt and Blindness and Seeing, three productions that are part of PROJEKT EUROPA, a season of work at the RSC in Stratford-upon-Avon, exploring, celebrating and interrogating our relationship with Europe.

Following four sold out performances at Theatre Royal Stratford East and Greenwich Dance in 2015, Our Mighty Groove will stop at the Platform Theatre, Kings Cross this weekend (October 15) as part of its 2016 national tour.
