Lookingglass Alice is adapted and directed by founding member of Lookingglass Theatre Company, David Catlin. Lindsey Noel Whiting, a Lookingglass Alice cast member herself, hosts the PBS program, and the cast includes Molly Hernandez as Alice, along with Kareem Bandealy, Samuel Taylor, Michel Rodriguez Cintra and Daniel Johnson.

The musical begins as the bells of Notre Dame sound through the famed cathedral in fifteenth-century Paris. Quasimodo, the deformed bell-ringer who longs to be 'Out There,' observes all of Paris revelling in the Feast of Fools. Held captive by his devious caretaker, the archdeacon Dom Claude Frollo, he escapes for the day and joins the boisterous crowd, only to be treated cruelly by all but the beautiful Romani woman, Esmeralda. Quasimodo isn’t the only one captivated by her free spirit, though – the handsome Captain Phoebus and Frollo are equally enthralled. As the three vie for her attention, Frollo embarks on a mission to destroy the Roma – and it’s up to Quasimodo to save them all.

Bennett Theatricals has announced New York Theatre Festival’s presentation of new Off-Broadway bound musical, Maddie, which will play November 22nd (6:15PM), November 25th (4:30PM) and November 26th (1PM), part of NYTF WinterFest. 

The Gotham Film & Media Institute announced that Ferrari, the emotional and thrilling dramatization of the life of legendary ex-racer, racecar manufacturer, and entrepreneur, directed and produced by Michael Mann, will receive the Icon & Creator Tribute for Innovation at the 33rd annual Gotham Awards Ceremony.

Greensky Bluegrass has announced the dates for their 2024 Winter Tour. Winter Tour will kick off on January 11 in Jacksonville, FL and includes shows at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway, two nights at Washington D.C.’s The Anthem, Chicago’s The Salt Shed, and two nights at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium among many others.

SHE’S A CRIMINAL (aka The Dirty South) premieres at AFM Market. Shane West, Willa Holland, and Dermot Mulroney star in this gritty crime thriller. Film Mode Entertainment acquires the film, set for a North American release on November 10, 2023.

The Off-Broadway production of Titanique has cancelled upcoming performance due to 'facility issues.' Performances through October 30 have been cancelled, and the musical is set to resume performances on November 1.

Each Halloween Season, many horror and science fiction offerings hit our stages. This year, David P. Johnson is bringing his Sally Spectre: The Musical back to Theatre West weekends through October 29. A combination horror and morality play, it centers around the ghost of a 5-year-old girl trying to escape from her locked bedroom where she was brutally murdered. But is this musical really for children? To find out, I decided to speak with David P. Johnson who not only wrote the book, music, and lyrics but also directs and co-produces it, and appears onstage accompanying the cast on keyboard during every performance.

Moonbox Productions, winner of numerous IRNE and Elliot Norton Awards, will present Legally Blonde: The Musical, with music and lyrics by Laurence O'Keefe and Nell Benjamin and a book by Heather Hach, based on the novel Legally Blonde by Amanda Brown. 

Casting Society has announced nominations in the theatre, television, commercials, short film and short form series for the 2023 Artios Awards.

Tickets for the smash-hit musical, MJ, are now on sale to Boston audiences.  MJ will play the Citizens Bank Opera House June 18 – July 7, 2024 as part of the Lexus 23/24 Broadway In Boston Season.
