Theatre Philadelphia Unveils New Barrymore Award Design for 25th Anniversary

Theatre Philadelphia, the region's marketing and leadership organization for theatre, announced a new design for the Barrymore Award trophy. A collaboration with Sharif Pendleton of Philadelphia Laser and Industrial Design, the new trophy design helps mark the 25th Anniversary of the Barrymore Awards and creates a trophy that reflects the values of the nationally-recognized symbol of professional theatre in the Greater Philadelphia region.
COME FROM AWAY Releases New Block of Tickets Through June 2020

Tickets for the Tony Award-winning and Olivier Award-winning musical COME FROM AWAY, now in its third smash hit year on Broadway, are now on sale for performances through Sunday, June 28, 2020. COME FROM AWAY began performances on February 18, 2017 and officially opened to critical acclaim on March 12, 2017 at Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street), where the show continues to play to standing-room-only audiences.

Tony winning singer and actress Diahann Carroll has died Friday at the age of 84.The Broadway community mourns the loss of beloved performer, pioneer, and Tony Award winner Diahann Carroll, who passed away on October 4, 2019 at age 84. To commemorate her life and work, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of the American Airlines, Broadhurst, Helen Hayes, Hudson, Marquis, New Amsterdam, Samuel J. Friedman, St. James, and Vivian Beaumont Theatres in New York for one minute on Wednesday, October 16th at exactly 7:45pm.
