WATER IN MY HANDS Will Premiere at Vivid Stage in December

Vivid Stage, formerly Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will present the world premiere production of Water in My Hands by Emma Gibson from December 2 through 12. All audience members will be asked to show proof of vaccination at the box office.

The Theater Project Offers Three Holiday Programs

In the spirit of “you can never put too many ornaments on a Christmas tree,” The Theater Project is offering not one but three holiday programs to kick off the season right after Thanksgiving.

MIDDLETOWN Will Have a Reading at Vivid Stage September 18

Vivid Stage, formerly Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will present a reading of Will Eno's play “Middletown” on Saturday, September 18 at 8:00 pm. All audience members will be asked to show proof of vaccination at the box office.

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre Announces Summer Season

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, is presenting three programs this summer, which include improv, readings of one-person shows, and a cabaret. The improv show will be live-streamed from an outdoor stage, and the readings and cabaret will be outdoors with live audiences.

Dreamcatcher Creates Web Series TOGETHER APART

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, will release the original web series “Together Apart,” featuring its resident acting ensemble, beginning Tuesday, April 6 on Facebook and other social media channels. Episodes will be released weekly through May 11. 

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre Presents Readings of RIPCORD and SHOOTING STAR

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, is presenting two staged readings in March: Ripcord by David Lindsay-Abaire on March 17 and Shooting Star by Steven Dietz on March 31. Both will debut at 7:30 pm and be available for the next 24 hours via a link.

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre Presents KINDRED SPIRITS: VALENTINE'S DAY CABARET

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, in residence at Oakes Center at 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, is presenting a Valentine’s Day Cabaret, Kindred Spirits, on Thursday, February 11 at 7:30 pm on Zoom. This collection of songs about love in all its variety is a pairing of musical performance and video taken by the singers and edited by director Laura Ekstrand. The performance will be followed by an online talkback with the artists.

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre Presents HOLIDAY BITES

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre is presenting Holiday Bites, seven new short plays, from December 4 through 13 on Zoom. The 90-minute presentation responds to the ways we are celebrating the holidays this year. Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa are all backdrops for stories of family relationships, consumer interactions and fantastical occurrences.

The New Jersey Theatre Alliance's Stages Online ZOOM Play

With the Covid-19 lockdown occurring just a month before the Easter and Passover holidays, playwright Marc Palmieri was inspired to write a play specifically for an online platform: in a live conference call, the techno-challenged members of a small church struggle to mount their annual Passion Play on Zoom (Act 1) and then follow up their success a?" or lack of it a?" with a presentation of a medieval mystery play (Act 2).

BE HERE NOW At Dreamcatcher Opens February 20

Dreamcatcher Repertory Theatre, professional theatre in residence at Oakes Center in Summit, is continuing its 25th Anniversary Season with the NJ Premiere of Be Here Now by Deborah Zoe Laufer. This comedy was first produced at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park in 2018 and since has been performed at venues throughout the country. Be Here Now runs February 20 through March 8, 2020.

Broadway: The B Side Cabaret Will Come to Dreamcatcher

This heartwarming comedy, written by two members of Dreamcatcher's ensemble, was inspired by stories from the company's own lives and woven to reflect the common experience of a family going through a major life change. What Stays runs February 8 - 25, 2018.
