Boston Court Pasadena will hold their 5th Annual Z. Clark Branson Awards Gala on October 20, 2019 at the Altadena Town & Country Club.  The gala, which benefits Boston Court Pasadena will honor longtime board member Robbin Kelley.

The California Premiere of Nick Dear's adaptation of Frankenstein features a heartbreaking performance by Michael Manuel as a creature born innocent but ugly, taught to hate and rebel against humanity. Manuel carries the production on his hulking shoulders, which becomes crippling due to a confounding script and unusually lifeless direction from Los Angeles star director Michael Michetti.

The award-winning 1950's rock'n'roll musical TEDDY will have its final performance at The Vaults, Waterloo in just two weeks on Saturday 2 June 2018.

Following a UK tour, original 1950s rock 'n' roll musical Teddy has landed at The Vaults Theatre. It brilliantly evokes the atmosphere of a crumbling post-Blitz London and combines a live band, a talented duo of actors, and energetic dancing for an exciting show. The unique poetic language, written by Tristan Bernays, sets a beautiful rhythm and lends it an artistic feel.

Snapdragon Productions is delighted to announce that the run of the award-winning 1950's rock'n'roll musical TEDDY at The Vaults, London has been extended by four weeks. TEDDY will now play from 29 March to 3 June 2018. The role of The Beast is played by Jonah Platt (Broadway's Wicked) at all other performances. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST A CHRISTMAS ROSE, opened to rave reviews December 13, and must close December 24.

Lythgoe means talent and for several years the family have been entertaining us at Christmastime, with a British panto, American style. A panto is an interactive entertainment that starts with a very contemporary retelling of a fairy tale such as this year's treat Beauty and the Beast: A Christmas Rose and turns it into a highly imaginative show with pop music that will appeal to both children and their parents...but primarily to expose kids to an engaging theatrical experience. There's usually an actor or two in drag, and a villain ... and audience are encouraged to root for the heroes and BOO loudly at the villains. It begins first and foremost with an upbeat script by Kris Lythgoe, replete with silly lines and a lot of play.on.words. To put the younger audience into the spirit, apart from the screaming and booing, Beast masks are on sale and for the adult ladies, long-stemmed roses. This family show plays at the Pasadena Civic through December 24.

I never feel let down when I attend An Evening of Classic Broadway at Rockwell Table and Stage. The singers are incredibly talented, led by lovely producer Dianne Fraser and delightful musical director Brad Ellis. Ellis narrates, introduces many of the guests and inserts delicious anecdotes about the performers and the music being played. This show on Tuesday November 28 was no exception. With Christmas only a few weeks away, Christmas music was expected. However, many were just as happy as the radio is inundated with holiday music. This is Broadway and what we got were some fabulous songs from shows both present and past.

Lythgoe Family Panto (LFP), in association with Pasadena Playhouse, announced today that the opening night celebration of the world premiere of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST A CHRISTMAS ROSE at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Wednesday, December 13 will benefit Give Kids Panto, a non-profit educational program, serving yearly over 5,000 Title 1 students across America, many of whom will see theatre for the first time through this program. All funds raised that evening will go to support the Panto student matinees for LAUSD and PUSD students.

A post-Thanksgiving performance of An Evening of Classic Broadway will take place on Tuesday, November 28th at 8PM (doors open at 6:30) at LA's live music venue Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Feliz.
