June is a month of special occasions and Staten Island Children's Museum is known for offering learning opportunities that include hoopla and revelry.  So, its no surprise that they are celebrating Father's Day, Juneteenth, and Gay Pride Month, the latter two celebrations are of unique importance respectively to the African American and LGBTQAI+ community. 

The Caribbean Cultural Center African Diaspora Institute (CCCADI) is excited to present its 2nd Annual AfriBembé Festival in a virtual format on September 19th from 1 pm - 8 pm hosted by Julissa Contreras.

Ahoy! The Staten Island Children's Museum is setting its sails for new adventures as it explores life at sea during July programs and events.

Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre has been offering its unique dance educations program through its arts education arm Notes in Motion Outreach Dance Theatre since 2000. We became a vendor of NYC Department of Education in 2005 and since that time, have been offering a wide array of residency, professional development, interactive performance, and after-school programs that teach ballet, modern, jazz, African, tap, hip hop, yoga, Latin dance, and more.

This month NY Madness is proud to co-present a Midterm Mayhem! A Doomsday Cabaret, featuring excerpts from the new musical, 'Red Sky'. Red Sky is a parable for our times, and features, Danielle Alonzo, Jonas Barranca, Eden Eernissee, Steven Halliwell, Timothy Mullins, Chuk Obasi, and Ansi Rodriguez. The show will take place on Sunday, October 28th at 8pm at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery). November 9th Forever is co-producing this special event. Also featuring Voting Rights activist Victor Pate from the National Action Network.

'All the world's a stage / And everybody's in the show. / Nobody's a pro.' Those words, sung at the opening of Shaina Taub and Laurie Woolery's thoroughly enchanting musical adaptation of Shakespeare's AS YOU LIKE IT, were especially poignant at the Delacorte Theater this past weekend, where, since 2013, every Labor Day holiday has been celebrated with a production by the Public Theater's gloriously inclusive Public Works program.

This year, Public Works presents Shakespeare's AS YOU LIKE IT in a ravishing new musical adaptation by Director of Public Works Laurie Woolery, and Shaina Taub, featuring music and lyrics by Taub, the acclaimed singer/songwriter behind last season's adaptation of Twelfth Night, and choreography by Emmy nominee and Lortel Award winner Sonya Tayeh. Two hundred community members and professional actors perform together on the Delacorte stage in this immersive dream-like tale of faithful friends, feuding families, and lovers in disguise.
