Rattlestick Theatre, the Terrence McNally Foundation, and Tom Kirdahy Productions (TKP) announced today applications for Cycle 2 of the Terrence McNally New Works Incubator.

The Hermitage Artist Retreat has revealed new programs throughout the months of January and February.

The Black Box and Liberty Arts presents OPEN MIC NIGHT for music, comedy, and more on Tuesday, November 28th, 7:30PM at Debonair Music Hall, 1409 Queen Anne Road between Walraven and State Street in Teaneck, NJ 07666. 

While Black Box's ongoing monthly 'From A To Zoo' series covering all of Edward Albee's play will resume in December, this month brings an exclusive fundraiser workshop presentation to the stage in Teaneck! 

The Mill Theatre and Theaterlab present a workshop production of Come Here to Me, a new play by Dianne Nora and directed by Jaclyn Biskup. Performances begin November 1st, running through November 5th.

In association with The Estate of Edward Albee, the Black Box presents 1993's FRAGMENTS (A SIT-AROUND) as the next monthly reading in EDWARD ALBEE: FROM A TO ZOO, AN EXCLUSIVE STAGED READING SERIES OF EDWARD ALBEE'S PLAYS.

The latest recipients have been announced for the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Initiative commissions for new theatrical works surrounding themes of science, math, and technology.

Ryan Spahn's new short film, THE OTHER JOHN, explores the destabilizing effects of hook-up culture on gay men's ability to form honest connections. Premiering at the Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival and Out at the Movies International Film Fest, this found footage micro-short is a must-watch for its powerful storytelling.

The Hermitage Artist Retreat’s popular series, “Hermitage Sunsets @ Selby Gardens,” continues into its fourth year as part of the Hermitage’s 2023-2024 season. The outdoor series — a continuing collaboration between the Hermitage and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens — features performances and explorations of works-in-progress by Hermitage artists-in-residence and alumni.

Leave it to Mark Klugheit to push the envelope in matters of theater programming. Rarely deterred by criticism for producing plays deemed too risky or out of bounds, he remains invested in cultivating candid discussions on staging exceptional works otherwise known for extreme shock value.
