Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA, under the leadership of Artistic Director JuliAnne Boyd and Managing Director TriStan Wilson,  hosted its annual New York City Benefit, BSC In NYC last night to celebrate the acclaimed BSC Musical Theatre Lab and honor its co-founder and Artistic Producer William Finn and Broadwayworld was there. 

The 8th Annual Broadway Meows Concert for the Humane Society of New York will be presented at Don't Tell Mama, one night only, Monday, July 18th at 7pm.

Together with a band of the most exciting musicians in NYC, David Yazbek performed songs from his albums and shows- old, new and at Feinstein's/54 Below last night and BroadwayWorld was there.

The Lion, the highly acclaimed, Drama Desk Award-winning musical written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer, is searching for a new star, producer Eva Price announced today. Scheuer, who has been performing the piece in various productions since 2014, will play his final performance in his autobiographical musical on February 19, 2017 at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles, CA. Due to popular demand, The Lion will continue its tour across America, and the search is underway for a new star.

FEINSTEIN'S/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presented 'THE WHOLE MEGILLAH' last night and BroadwayWorld was there. From Adam Spiegel and Dan Wolpow, the writers of Cloned! (NYMF 2014 Best of Fest Audience Prize and New York Times Critic's Pick), The Whole Megillah! is a raucous, raunchy and ribald take on the Book of Esther, which tells the ridiculous story of the Jewish holiday of Purim.

Next week, FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club & Private Event Destination, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond.

Judy Gold, the acclaimed comedian known for her work on television, film, and Off-Broadway, is making her Feinstein's/54 Below debut. If it's any indication of what her show will entail, just a few of her many 'special skills' include: screaming at her kids in public places, pretending that she's listening to you while texting, and road rage. ?Kathleen McDonough, president of KLAD, the award-winning set and light design firm based in New Jersey, will have a duo role as producer and production designer on the new digital series, The Other F Word. The comedy centers around four girlfriends, who are discovering that the angst of raising kids may be nothing, compared to the angst of starting a new chapter of their lives after the kids are grown.

Last night was the first of two nights of the 25th anniversary concert of The Secret Garden at Lincoln Center and by all reports the star-filled concert practically blew the roof off of the building. The concert performances of the TONY Award-winning musical featured a stunning Broadway and television cast, creative team, the New York City Chamber Orchestra, and a grand 200-voice chorus from across the United States. Complete casting has been announced for Manhattan Concert Productions' (MCP) 25th anniversary performances of The Secret Garden, on February 21 and February 22, 2016 at David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center. The concert performances of the TONY Award-winning musical will feature a stunning Broadway and television cast, creative team, the New York City Chamber Orchestra, and a grand 200-voice chorus from across the United States.

HH Productions, LLC, in association with The York Theatre Company will present a special staged reading of the new musical HOWARD, written by Frank Evans (Book and Lyrics) and James Scully (Music), directed by Jennifer Paulson-Lee, conducted by Jeff Saver and musical supervision/arrangements by Scott Cady.  HOWARD will be presented at Manhattan Movement and Arts Center (248 West 60 Street, NYC 10023) on Wednesday, January 27th at 1PM; Thursday, January 28th at 1PM; and Friday, January 29th at 1PM.
